Give Blood!
by Laika inlooking for a way to stick two fingers up to the watchtower and do something useful?.
well, ever considered giving blood?
if you're eligible to do so i would encourage everyone here to go for it, the world needs more blood donors, it's always nice to help out and given our history i find there's something very enjoyable about it.

Child Discipline, new article to address Jackson's Royal Commission testimony
by jwfacts ini have published a new article at watchtower corporal punishment, as a response to the testimony that geoff jackson gave at the royal commission.
it includes the relevant part of the transcript, along with a string of watchtower quotes to show that what he presented was not accurate, and that watchtower translates rod as a literal implement to hit children with.

According to the Collins English Dictionary, Corporal punishment is physical punishment, such as caning. Whereas to Spank is to slap with the open hand. Spanking is a series of spanks, usually as a punishment for children.
Corporal punishment was still in force in most of the schools in Europe say in the 60`s & even as far up as the early 80`s. I have never heard from the platform or read any article that say`s you should hit your children with a stick or repeatedly spank them.
I absolutely do believe that because of the WTBTS view that children should be seen & not heard, that they should mind their elder`s at any cost & the general narcissistic, overbearing/ridged teaching`s that are enforced along with the you must be at all meetings/field service/study/participation or you are crap has given what would be already abusive parent`s free rein to abuse more. Couple in the fact that the elders in general couldn't give a shit about young one`s who may present a problem ( just disfellowship them to get them out of the way) these type of parents get away for years with unbelievable acts of cruelty & are able to confidently place the blame on the unrepentant disfellowshipped youth which has members in the cong patting them (the parents) on the back with pity or a well done for staying loyal to Jehovah as they have want to do, re-enforcing their disgusting behaviour as normal.
I think you need to be careful here Paul, if you went to a high school & claimed that they believe in corporal punishment, that you had found written records of kid`s who had this done to them, they would say "yes that did happen then, but nowday`s we don't except that as the right way to treat children".
You will of cause have more written facts than I, I just think if you are planning on going down this road you need something that is from the 90`s. & I can only speak from what I have or have not heard, it may be different for others. It`s just my own thought`s . SABIN.

The worst happens.
by Vetro insay, a woman is going in for colon surgery, it is already known by most of her doctors she has several pychiatric illnesses, along with more than several medications for it, it's also obvious she's a bit slow and not very good at understanding concepts, she's a jw baptized, her husband is baptized, used to be a elder and is no longer practicing, the wife refuses blood, but the husband seems anxious, unnerved about this, he realizes something isn't right about the wt, but can't quite break free, he doesn't want her to die if she need something like blood, but can't convince the wife, the rest of her family will be there, all ex witnesses including her children and mother who was a witness, she signs the form refusing blood.
during surgery the worst happens, she starts bleeding, it doesn't stop, it gets bad enough even volume expanders won't keep her barely alive.
will the surgeon just let her die without alert the family what is happening and maybe keep his oath to protect life and perhaps allow a chance at her husband to make a decision to allow a transfusion, or will he just let her die as her deluded wishes dictate and tell the family afterwards?

Hey Vetro, so incredibly nice to meet you. Sorry that you are having to face this situation what else is there to say. If the husband feels this way then he can talk to his wife about it privately, ultimately it is her choice wether anybody agrees or no. An opinion can be shouted but she will decide what it is she wants. The best advice I can offer & I confess I have never been in this situation so I`m not speaking from experience, is to say just be as supportive as you can be. I do so hope that everything turns out well for you all. SABIN -

Deaf Aotearoa flooded with complaints about Jehovah's Witness church
by OrphanCrow indeaf aotearoa flooded with complaints about jehovah's witness churchkashka tunstalllast updated 15:22, october 6 2015deaf aotearoa has asked the jehovah's witness church to respond to claims of a deaf information database.new zealand's deaf community is fed up with unsolicited house calls, claiming the jehovah's witness church is targeting deaf households.deaf aotearoa has received multiple complaints from around the country and says church members visited certain homes because they were aware a deaf person lived there.
the organisation released a statement on monday, saying it was looking into the possibility the church holds a database listing the details of members of the deaf community.jehovah witness spokesman rod spinks said there was no such database and deaf people were not being targeted.the deaf aotearoa statement was posted on the group's facebook page, and received a flood of comments from frustrated people.one woman said a group of jehovah's witnesses had come to her house and asked "for the deaf person who lives here.
" she said they refused to explain how they had her details and didn't visit her neighbours.another said church members had turned up at her work and asked for her by name.hamilton man royce flynn said he had been visited six times over the last nine months, despite repeatedly saying he was uninterested in the house calls.he said the church members were always able to sign and also brought deaf people along, which lead him to believe he was being singled out.flynn said contacted local police, who told him it was a privacy issue and referred him on to the office of the privacy commissioner.he said he had been been in contact with local labour member of parliament sue moroney.deaf aotearoa acting chief executive jill dean said complaints about the church were a recurring issue.

Well isn't he the liar cause we all know that they do document where the deaf are & they are targeted by the witnesses & certain one`s do go learn sign language purely so they can go to these one`s houses. I expect amongst themselves the jdub`s will be saying the deaf community is persecuting them.
