DD, they got a new globe out, during the day it's the world, at night when you switch it on it show's all the constellation's. You would love it. It look's so pretty in the picture. I think they sell it in the National Geographic shop.

The fade did not work

You are so right, the thing is with JW is they live with box's. Everything is in some kind of box, there's the jw box & the worldly box. You go to field service group & your in a box inside the big jw box, the Reg pioneer box, Aux pioneer box, elder box, ms box etc. Then you go out God bothering & put all the ones in the big worldly box into their own little box's. The catholic box, atheist box, evolutionist box & so on. Then if they respond you put them in to yet another box, R.V box, mag box, study box with the hope you will get them out of the worldly box & into the JW box. Hell that's a lot of box's. That is why when you listen to them & they are in the cult mode they have a personality like cardboard. They are talking to box's there is no personal interest from some-one like that, they dont know how to talk to a PERSON. If your some-one who doesn't want to live life in a box your Fu.....ed, no choice but to walk..

I believe there is a method to their madness. Yes they do believe firmly in Jesus, his ransom sacrifice is what will ultimately save everybody. However to put Jesus on the peddle stool would mean they have a responsibility to live up to the way he treated others, to put Jehovah (the God of the old Testament, in most peoples view) a God of war gives them the perfect excuse to be BASTARDS. That's why they come out with crap like "if we were under law you would be stoned". It's just another way they can keep control. That's my opinion, & what has brought me to this conclusion? it's because they never really talk about Jesus in any real depth, they skip around him, even though the Christian cong is founded on his name, he being the head of it. -

It may just be one of her funny little quirks, (habit) or because its what is expected of her. Does she know she's doing it? I didn't think you went to the meetings any more.

day one after armageddon it seems ages since we last heard the gunshots and screams, today has been really quiet.
the last few weeks have been sheer terror.

Sometimes humans just dont look past their own noses. I remember when hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans I was talking to an older sister & I said that Jehovah made sure all his people were at an assembly, she said to me "Don't ever say that, what about the ones in divided households who lost their children/parents/brothers/sisters etc, boy I felt ashamed. I was young & stupid just like this person. This is how the WTS teaches people to think. I was glad that sister corrected my thinking cause when the Boxing day tsunami happened I heard so many saying at least JDubs were o.k. Jehovah looked after them the ones on the ministry on higher ground survived I was able to say the same thing "Don't ever say that". This bloody Borg makes people callous & judgemental, selfish & heartless that's why the honest hearted ones are getting out. I think that that story shows the real sad condition that is the thinking of Jehovahs Witnesses. -

by Sabin ini'm just wondering, i read on another thread that as a unwritten rule ivf is a no no.
i've never heard this, so it got me thinking about other things like getting sterilised i've heard differing views on this.
some say it's fine others say the society say's no.. what about circumcision, in the u.k. & oz it's not so big (excuse the pun) but i watched a doco that said it was a big deal in america & most men have it done.

about me: i was essentially born in & indoctrinated from youth.
i was always a borderline "bad association" type because i always did the minimum and always disagreed with much of what was taught; even when i was a child.. luckily for me my father was never a jw so i never had to endure the male head pressure.

The Borg never talks about the person being kind/honest/loving etc it's all about the show of things that they do in the cong. It's so sad. Those girls are right of corse it's the same here, the men if that's what you can call them, all want the young girls, on the other hand most of the beauties only want the men if they have position & money. So shallow It's just another controlling idea that the Borg comes up with. have you noticed at the assemblies how they put marriages down that aren't exactly how they believe they should be. Personally I think they have absolutely no respect for the marriage arrangement at all.
