Jehovah's Witnesses the richest religion in the world..

i don't post here too much..i am more of a lurker.

but, wanted to share recent conversation with jw family member.. one of my jw relatives recently went to visit another jw relative that is "serving where the need is great",.

when my jw relative returned home and i was talking with him, who is an older jw who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk.

I don't post here too much..I am more of a lurker. But, wanted to share recent conversation with JW family member.

One of my JW relatives recently went to visit another JW relative that is "serving where the need is great",. When my JW relative returned home and I was talking with him, who is an older JW who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk. I am not sure if the speaker was a CO, but I believe so. He said the speaker asked, what religion is the richest in the world? Many answered, Catholics. He said, No! Jehovah's Witnesses are! He went on to say that they get so many donations, and bragged about the new large complex they are building..etc.

I find it ironic that the JW's are so excited to think they are the richest religion in the world. IF they believed it were the Catholics they would have pointed a finger as being a bad thing. But, since its them..oh how wonderful!

I can't help but wonder if this is the new thing they higher ups in the organization are telling the JW's to keep them from wondering about all of the cut backs and such.

Non JW friends don't understand

it never ceases to amaze me that your personal friends have no clue what it is like to have been one.

i was speaking with a friend the other day about having been a jw.

she said, oh i have a dear friend of 30 years who is one and she is so nice!

This has always frustrated me as well. They have no clue. No one does unless you have lived it. The way this organization has ruined my life. I get the same thing..oh they are such nice people..Yeah right. Everything about them is fake.

Strange things I have seen and heard JWs do or say

I'm sure you guys have heard or seen similar. They will accept Christmas gifts from co workers most of the time. Just can't be wrapped in Christmas paper. Will take that Christmas bonus ! They will not cook a turkey on Thanksgiving day, but they will the day before or after. I was told by a very long time JW that they never lie, they just don't tell the whole story. Recently my JW family had an after Halloween dress up party for kids, but not for Halloween, but said Walmart had Halloween costumes half price. Once my mother in law wore a flower pinned to her dress one Sunday meeting. It was her wedding anniversary , which fell on mothers day. An anointed sister told her she should take it off, people will think its for mothers day! About a year or so ago my in-law JW said to me... If Armageddon doesn't come soon, there's going to be a riot of Jehovah's Witnesses. Not too long ago a JW couple came to our door, conversation continued for few min. Told them not coming back ever and we were very happy. Happier than we have ever been! The sister told us it was satan that was making us happy! 😱 what are some crazy things you have seen or heard?

Give me 5 minutes to explain...

i keep thinking about the time i will "come out" and tell my wife about this sick cult.

i don't know when that day will come, but knowing me i will seat down with her and ask her for 5 minutes to explain to her why we as a family has to get out.

my question is: what will you tell somebody in 5 minutes, that will convince that perdon that this is not a good religion to follow and that we have been deceived?.

That is not going to be easy. I have tried the five minute explanation on several of my JW family. What I did that has helped at least 2 was to get a list of Bible verses that have been changed . I put the list of Scriptures and what they said on one side of the paper..on the other side the same scripture on how they should be. I also went ahead and told them that the gospel is simple and it doesn't take the watchtower to explain it to anyone. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, believe that He died for your sins, shed HIS blood and took your place. That He was buried and raised back to life and He. Your sins are forgiven if you believe in HIM. The JW's always quote that scripture about the wages of sins is death. But they always leave off the other part of the same scripture...The BUT the gift of God is ever lasting life to all who believe.(Romans 6:23) Nothing in the Bible says that you have to know if there is a hell or exactly who the 144,000 is, or any of the other doctrines to be saved. That is NOT a requirement. I also love the verse in Ephesians 2:8-9..For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. It plants the seed..and God makes it grow.

They are kind of scary! lol I saw that they made one a couple of months ago warning Jehovah's Witnesses that they are watching them. I thought it was interesting. Wondered if I am the only one who has just heard about them?

Why I have renounced Atheism and become a believer again

i have always said that if a god showed itself i would follow the evidence and renounce my atheism.

i have now seen enough to start believing again, i am so happy, i feel a inner contentment, when he connected with me i really knew it was him.

if you are not a believer you will not understand this, but trust me, look at the evidence, open your heart to him, let him in and your life will change for the better.

prologos you compare a puddle of water to a human being? The WT did a number on all of us who woke up to the lie they are about. But, I never blamed God for what they did to me. It was God who led me out of that religion. It was a pure miracle how God helped me. I prayed and prayed pretty much day and night for weeks asking for direction when I was so confused and blinded by the WT. I was given a different bible one day and I sat there and compared word for word the NWT to this bible. Shocked to see the differences. I was starting to wake up to the truth. This bible was given to me by a stranger! I didn't know the NWT was different. That is was screwed up. Had no clue.

One day at work a huge 1-800 number phone book was delivered to the office. Never had before in the 10 years working there had a 800 book been brought to the office.. I looked up religion. I saw a help line. I called and told the man my struggle with my religion. This man knew Ray Franz. He put me in touch with him. I talked several time to Ray. He sent me his books. I read them. Asked many question. Went to a private home with him and other former JW's and had the memorial with him and partook . That was just the tip of the ice. From there it snowballed. I was searching for truth sincerely with my whole entire being and heart. God didn't ignore me, he helped me. i had never had such faith. You can't begin to find God and know Him without faith. You have faith that we evolved but not faith that we were created. I don't understand that. But the choice is up to each one of us. It is a decision that we each have to make. To believe or not. I choose to believe. To me the evidence is there . It breaks my heart that some JW's choose not to believe in God when they left. The WT , JW's will have to answer to God for stumbling these people. I do think God understands your struggle, the struggles of all former JW's, and He knows what you have been through.

Anyway..my thoughts. I know it is a deep conversation and people have different views. That is ok , doesn't meant I can't tell how I feel about God and my beliefs too.

I can't understand how anyone can deny the presence of God. So many things point to a beautiful creator. How is it that the plants and foods have the vit. and min. in them that is exactly what a human needs. The water, the clear thirst quencher with no taste, something we cannot live without, but is provided for us. Salt, we need it to live, it is provided to us. Those are just a few of the little things, that are huge to humans.

He has shown himself and there is no way imho that there is not a creator to this amazing universe. Miracles happen all the time. God will show himself to anyone who is searching and He will give you peace inside that is beyond understanding.

I remember all of these article so well. Now I remember why it was so hard to break free from that Religion. They pretty much put themselves equal with God and Jesus. No wonder I was so freaking screwed up when i wanted to walk away from them. Great post.
