remember when we were "in"?

we were told that if we have doubts regarding the bible and regarding the wt, it is satan that is casting doubts in our mind?.

Hi.😊 what you are feeling is normal. I have been out for several years now. I never stopped believing in God and Christ. We are living in the last days..JWs are not the only ones who believe that. Most all Christian know that. The difference is the way of salvation. It is a gift from God. You don't earn it. Christians are not afraid...and we are telling others the gospel of Christ. When I left I had to find out what the bible really taught on everything! You should research. For one....the 144,000 are not the only ones with heavenly hope....we as Christians all have that. We will at some point return back to earth with Christ to rein with Him on earth. Rev. 5:10 says rule ON the earth. JWs bible says OVER.

i haven't been to a meeting in years, or door to door in years.

my mom visited recently and she is a devoted jw for 50 years now.

Why would the demons want so many of scriptures in the bible translated the same way as many of the NWT has theirs?

i am pretty sure that most of the former jw's here already know about johannas greber the former catholic priest who translated a bible with the help of demons, the thing is that the nwt has translated many of the same scriptures the way that greber has done.

the story of greber freaks me out each time i look it up.

this topic may have already been discussed prior and if so i apologize for discussing it again.

Hi Hippie, It doesn't really matter if the NWT has other sources, that doesn't make those other sources reliable. This man, Greber had demons, tell him that John 1:1 and other scriptures should be translated the same way the NWT has translated theirs. That is scary and odd don't you think? No?

If for some reason the links do not work, just type his name in google search. If this doesn't make you run for the hills, away from the JW's , then I don't know what would. Please, JW's on here that are wondering, and thinking that something isn't quite right about your religion, take time to read this.

i don't post here too much..i am more of a lurker.

but, wanted to share recent conversation with jw family member.. one of my jw relatives recently went to visit another jw relative that is "serving where the need is great",.

when my jw relative returned home and i was talking with him, who is an older jw who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk.

I don't post here too much..I am more of a lurker. But, wanted to share recent conversation with JW family member.

One of my JW relatives recently went to visit another JW relative that is "serving where the need is great",. When my JW relative returned home and I was talking with him, who is an older JW who has been in for over 50 years, was so excited to tell me about the special talk. I am not sure if the speaker was a CO, but I believe so. He said the speaker asked, what religion is the richest in the world? Many answered, Catholics. He said, No! Jehovah's Witnesses are! He went on to say that they get so many donations, and bragged about the new large complex they are building..etc.

I find it ironic that the JW's are so excited to think they are the richest religion in the world. IF they believed it were the Catholics they would have pointed a finger as being a bad thing. But, since its them..oh how wonderful!

I can't help but wonder if this is the new thing they higher ups in the organization are telling the JW's to keep them from wondering about all of the cut backs and such.

it never ceases to amaze me that your personal friends have no clue what it is like to have been one.

i was speaking with a friend the other day about having been a jw.

she said, oh i have a dear friend of 30 years who is one and she is so nice!

This has always frustrated me as well. They have no clue. No one does unless you have lived it. The way this organization has ruined my life. I get the same thing..oh they are such nice people..Yeah right. Everything about them is fake.

Strange things I have seen and heard JWs do or say

I'm sure you guys have heard or seen similar. They will accept Christmas gifts from co workers most of the time. Just can't be wrapped in Christmas paper. Will take that Christmas bonus ! They will not cook a turkey on Thanksgiving day, but they will the day before or after. I was told by a very long time JW that they never lie, they just don't tell the whole story. Recently my JW family had an after Halloween dress up party for kids, but not for Halloween, but said Walmart had Halloween costumes half price. Once my mother in law wore a flower pinned to her dress one Sunday meeting. It was her wedding anniversary , which fell on mothers day. An anointed sister told her she should take it off, people will think its for mothers day! About a year or so ago my in-law JW said to me... If Armageddon doesn't come soon, there's going to be a riot of Jehovah's Witnesses. Not too long ago a JW couple came to our door, conversation continued for few min. Told them not coming back ever and we were very happy. Happier than we have ever been! The sister told us it was satan that was making us happy! 😱 what are some crazy things you have seen or heard?
