An Apology ...and the Face of Terror
by safe4kids infirst, i must make a public apology to simon for labeling him a "beer wimp" in my last thread.
i discovered last night at dinner that the only reason he ordered coors light was because he didn't know what it was!
simon's beer ordering habits are now improving and i feel confident that the reputations of british beer drinkers everywhere will be salvaged (we've at least got him ordering amberbock now .

Nowadays the Posada in Mexico features disorder, drunkenness and criminal activity. The celebrations are used as an excuse for wild and immoral living. Persons frequently are killed, and others are robbed and injured. Police are kept extra busy during these celebrations.
How things have changed! Another eg. of the borg. putting an alarmist,negative slant on a subject! They could have said.......many, many people thoroughly enjoy themselves............ sigh........

(Rom. 3:23) When the apostle John fell down to worship before a sinless heavenly angel who had shown to John visions of future events, the angel cautioned: ?Be careful! Do not do that! All I am is a fellow slave of you and of your brothers . . . Worship God.? (Rev. 22:9) Are not we today even more inclined toward adulation of created persons?

A main concern is, not what it meant hundreds of years ago, but how it is viewed today in your area . Understandably, opinions may vary from one place to another. Hence, it is wise to avoid turning such matters into big issues.

? for those being shunned who have little kids...
by flower inif you have young children and you are shunned by other family members what you have told your children about why?
my son (4) and i need to have a chat soon and i'm really not certain what i am going to say to him.
he loves his auntie and uncle and gramma and he wants to see them.

I would ask his relatives what to do...they are the ones causing this aweful problem.
They know that you know why it's happening, but make them think about the reality of what they are doing. Would Jesus behave that way towards a little 4yr old child? NO!
I say this only because they are family and there is clearly a connection with your little lad. They way they behave towards little children in this situation is disgusting, but perhaps I was like that at one time............(big sigh )
He loves his Auntie and Uncle and Gramma and he wants to see them.
