i moved into a new area several months ago, and my subscriptions to the watchtower and awake magazines expired.
(note: i'm baaad, not attending meetings in my new area.).
so it'd be easy to renew my subscription, right?

I have a similar problem also. The solution is, is to ask someone else to have a subscription for you! Not easy I guess, I am fortunate that my grandmother is still receiving the mags, so I shall get them from her.
Hope that you can convince someone to have a subscription!!

What you said jogged my memory. Yes, there was some figure on the cover, it did sound very convincing at the time, as to why I should dispose of the album.
I am still concerned about things like black majic/ demons etc. Perhaps I will be less so as time goes by, and the JW paranoia subsides. My husband thinks that many supposedly para-normal happenings can be explained logically.........I'm still unsure.

Yes, Ozzie one should sympathise with them, and yes your right, it is for nothing. Everyone at this particular assembly was more interested in keeping/getting dry than listening intently, the assembly time was adjusted so that people could go home early.....thank goodness! I always feel for the families at such assemblies, it's such a drag.
The assemblies are timed ok in this country, so it's not too bad. It must be very difficult for your high school students.

i just thought i would give you this card on this very important day to let you know my feelings about your decesion.. first of all i want you to know that i am very,very, proud that you have made a choice in your life to be a person of good clean moral standards and a person that has a regard for there creator and one that wants to be respected and looked up to.
that makes dad very proud.. you are probally wondering why i no longer go to meetings with the family and no longer speak of spiritual things.

Yes, I heard on the news today about those school children....it's really terrible. I truly feel for those little ones, and their parents.
The borg. seem to be giving witnesses over here the feeling that they are making great progress with bloodless surgery, some friends of ours went to a HLC meeting....they came back buzzzing about how the society is spear-heading the progress in bloodless surgery, using synthetics I think. Our friends were 'over the moon' with whatever they told them, I don't think that they'd even considered the fractions issue.
If you have children, it is so important to know the FULL issue with blood the R&F certainly DO NOT. NMHO

even if many of you are right in saying that the jws are wrong on many and important issues, that does not make you right.
so unless you are convinced that there is no biblical god you are facing serious trouble when you die or if the lord comes during your lifetime.
