  The Chinese torturing cats and dogs by the millions

  it is strange that in this day and age a country like china with a tradition of civilisation going back to ancient times treats cats and dogs as if they are nothing.

  it's not just that they eat them or kill them for their fur but the cruel inhumane way in which the kill them, believing that if they die a painful death their meat will be more tasty.

  not to mention that often they skin them alive as they don't care to wait until they die.

  I'm sat here with one of my lovely cats..............I feel physically sick after watching a few snaps

  How can they do that???? Beyond belief that a human can behave that way to help animals.

  The amount of 'Made in China' products we have over here is unbelievable really.......and will certainly be AVOIDED from now on!

  ive been reading this forum for a long time, but this new situation has come up and now it looks like i need your help.

  i thought i dodged a bullet.

  my wife and i were both jws, and we both left it together.

  i talked to zachary (my 7-year-old) about shunning.

  i brought it up out of the blue, in the hopes of getting his real thoughts and not leading him into anything.. me: "hey zach.

  if god told you to never talk to me again, what would you do?".

  What do your kids say about shunning?

  Personally, I try never to mention JW matter's such as ‘shunning’ to my kids, I guess I feel that I would be passing on the crap mentality onto them. I want them to have a clean slate so to speak. Kids often do not pick up on such behaviour, but I guess if they do, then it need addressing.

  Society's recall of older books

  does anybody remember when the wtbts ask all the congregations to bring back all the old outdated books.

  i think it was in the late eighties.

  there was an announcement from the podium, return old books so they could be returned to new york.. i was too lazy to go through my books and take them in.

  I remember it!

  My mum gave over loads of old KM's which had my father's handwriting all over them (Mum kept them for all sorts of reasons...mostly sentimental I imagine)

  What would the society want with such old stuff??? guess the dutiful elder who she gave them to never imagined why the borg would ask for them.......dohhhh

  Makes me mad, as some of them were lates 70's n 80's.

  i love my cats as if they were my own children.

  i was there when they were born and even cut one of the umbilical cords.

  they are part of my family and yes, i do pick them up, hug them and kiss them everyday.

  My family love the cats waaaayy toooo much!

  My hubby gets home and the first thing he says is "Where are the cats?" and then proceeds to call them and ask them how they are etc....(lol) cuddles are the order of the day for a day in life of our cats (sometimes I really wish I was a cat! .......preferably one that looked exactly like Halle Berry !!

  So very true! Why…o…Why don’t the r&f get it ??? It’s so damned obvious it’s all crap….what a LIE…yes betrayal!!

  ‘The Millions Now Living’ matter is shocking in that they claimed to represent God.

  It's also one of the main JW beliefs that got me to leave very quickly...lol
