  just a few observations from this morning.

  .. this morning as i was trying to choke back the bile that kept wanting to come up during the wt study one comment in particular screamed cult.. towards the very end as comments were being made about "counseling" others with "gracious" words one of the uber-dub minstral-serpents made this comment, "we see in the last image that the brother is holding a bible as he counsels the other brother.

  we look closely at the picture and we can know exactly what he is counseling the brother about.

  Would like to see Jesus anonymously turn up at a meeting....beard & all. He might say to them ' I Am the Truth'. At that point the brothers begin stoning him with the word...'Apostate!'

  When I was a JW child, my mum told me she would rather let me die than for me to have blood transfusion. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one. When I left the org I was as good as dead to my family.

  geejay: no, we rotate yearly...... (translaton) we are all sparticus.. geejay: we are a faith driven org, we are not a group of lawyers, being overly concerned with legal matters..... fave quotes .

  How big a deal is the royal commission..? It seems to be not much...

  my understanding (very limited and maybe flawed) is that this commission has no teeth.

  if thats true why would the org care?

  send a few lawyers, go through the motions but in the end.... its a dog parking on a porch.

  Hi_Morpheus....I'm a recent visitor here & would like to offer my thoughts. Does this RC have teeth? If we are to believe it's purpose is to investigate & recommend changes to the way institutions deal with child sexual abuse, then that in itself is a 'big bite' for victims & survivors. Although I can't say if there will be any criminal proceedings towards any one particular person or organisation, this whole process has been a healing process for me personally & I would imagine many thousands of others. Please excuse me if I sound like I'm giving a sermon...that may have something to do with my upbringing! Love this place & the way everyone shares their time & thoughts.

  The WT Lawyer seemed to be scrambling to prevent certain documents being released. However the RC deemed they were worthy of publication. He has given WT a few days to put together a reason why they shouldn't be made available.
