  i was 15, this sister was in her 40s at the time.. - this elder said someone told him they saw me with a copy of the sun newspaper.

  yes, this paper is known for its 'page 3' topless girls but far from pornagraphic and i wasn't even thinking along those lines.. - one brother who had a good job was 'counselled' because he was actually able to buy himself nice things including a new car (shock, horror!!

  Did anyone see "Four Weddings" on TLC 2011/05/06 - JW bride

  only caught part of this program during my tea time at work last night.. the premise: 4 brides competing with each other, and hosting the other brides at their wedding, scoring the wedding and reception.

  the prize was an all expenses paid island honeymoon.

  i didn't particularly care what was on tv, but a couple of my colleagues were watching it, but boy did i ever do a double take when one of the brides, named celeste, would not enter the church for the second and third weddings, based on her beliefs as a jehovah's witness.

  I love it when JWs behave this way in the public domain and show themselves up for what they truly are - a rude, immature and nasty bunch.

  Just like that youtube video with that impertinent dub bitch who abruptly interrupted that guy on the ministry and called him an "apostate" then walked away, I welcome stuff like this any day of the week.

  keyser soze I remember when one of the society's tracts had a family picture with a little boy with his cap backwards. Apparently they thought it looked too 'worldy' then they printed subsequ0ent copies with the cap the other way around.Some on here may know the tract I'm referring to.

  When I was younger we were playing football (what Americans call soccer) and I had my cap backwards since I was a goalkeeper and this stupid fool who was on my team told me I either had to turn it around to the front or not wear it all since wearing it backwards looked wordly and we had to "stand out" from everyone else in the park!!!

  Is there anything more insane than this crackpot organisation?!?

  You know what grates me?

  1) The people who tell you what YOU should be doing for employment are the same ones who never ever lift a finger to assist youand living comfortably themselves (like the GB)

  2) Say you find new employment where you have to work shifts and it conflicts with your meetings, you decide to attend a different congregation with a different time schedule so you can start the new job. People will STILL bitch about at that!! Never mind that you're supposedly serving the same god wherever you go, they want to exercise so much control over you that you can't even decide to do what's right for your own personal situation without their input.

  - Someone I knew went and told the elders they overheard someone saying they were looking forward to some new publication at the book study group because the Revelation book was too hard. Apparently it was seen as not respecting the 'spiritual food' from the FDS.

  - I've heard people complain when someone doesn't stay behind after the meetings for too long (not that I blame them) when they never even acknowledge the person anyway.

  Those are probably not even half as bad as some of the stories I've read on here, add yours......
