None of which is surprising. Demonising your opponent is much more effective than trying to debate his views, especially if you don't have any ground to stand on.
This one sentence sums it up in a nutshell.
i just got through listening to the part on apostates.
.
they basically ignored any true questions or critisisms in favor of an ad hominem character attack on apostates.. they made the assertion that "apostates" are 1-prideful, 2-ingrateful, 3-impatient.. anyone that's listened care to discuss the part?.

my jw's mom said this to me in convo/argument two weeks...she said that atheist have no grounds for their thinking, and they basically talk out of their asses.
she also said that the government has rules that everyone follows and thats the same ways applies to god's true servants, and that we simple have rules, no if and's and but's.. she also said that jehovah can change science, and that god is one in control of the science..
Ok, has god revealed himself recently? In this age of technology now would be a better time than any, right?
i haven't been anywhere near a jw meeting or convention in at least 8 or 9 years.
but this afternoon, i'm doing some weed trimming and suddenly realized i had this lyric playing in my head...over and over.... .
"ours is the god of true prophecy,.
LMAO!!!
according to the august 2011 watchtower magazine:.
memorial partakers.
this is the number of baptized individuals who partake of the emblems at the memorial worldwide.
Sometimes the bullshit they say is beneath us to even want to dissect and analyse.
Their so called anointed numbers are growing which has obviously raised eyebrows, so they have to come with this lame nonsense in order to save face and justify their insanity.
Seriously, its not even worth discussing...
the "good news" is a heavy buzz term that any witness will need no elaboration to understand unquestionably.
it seems illogical, to me, for the witnesses to call their message the "good news.".
i used to go door to door with a message of "whatever you are doing right now is wrong and will get you killed unless you preach door to door like me.
Oh and remember that illustration witnesses liked to use to justify their over zealous quackery:
"If you were walking down the street and saw the roof of a house on fire, but looked inside the living room window and saw a family sitting together all happy watching TV and eating dinner, you wouldn't say, 'oh they look peaceful, I won't disturb them', you'd bang the door and yell at them to get out! Therefore, we shouldn't feel that we can't disturb people who appear content with their lives, we have to go forth with boldness and warn them of the coming destruction!"
Some apple-and-oranges b.s. like that, anyway.
The fact is, there's nothing "good" about their news. Harold Camping and his clique had FAR MORE success in grabbing worldwide attention in a few weeks than JWs have had for years, yet none of them were banging people's doors on a Saturday morning disturbing anyone. If the JWs were so righteous and cared for their neighbour, they'd employ far better methods to "reach the hearts" of people.
under the heading, "transplants and the first amendment" today:.
"i respect the jehovah's witnesses for fighting to keep the government from forcing them to violate their religious principles....... but to go from those rights to demanding that i pay for their more expensive medical treatments to satisfy their religious scruples is outrageous.
if they have special medical needs, let them turn to members of their faith community for financial support..... to demand that the government finance their religious preferences, while refusing to salute the flag of the government that will pay for them, is blatant hypocrisy.".
Just one of the many problems these hypocritical bastards cause.
i didn't go to college and of course, "higher education" was never recommended.
still, i never felt terribly deprived because of not going further in my education.. yet, i did wish that i could've had "normal" aka "worldly friends".
i wish that as witnesses, we could've been better integrated with other people.
Have friends outside the crazy organisation cos lord knows my college mates were WAY better than those jokers in the hall.
at one time, it seemed that the majority of those leaving, were young ones brought up in the cult.. from what i can see now (at least on here), there seems to be a high number of 20+ baptised members years leaving.. has this always been the case?
it might be i just didn't notice from my parochial view from the kingdom hall!.
or are there really more long standing jw's leaving now, than ever before?.
@punkofnice
What next, the statues penis??

What about "toes"? Have I missed something??? Whose toes??
no looking up jws on the internet first?
and uses a phone book, who even owns a phone book anymore?.
here is the an "experience" from pg 7 of the august 2011 awake.. my teenage years were a blur of alcohol,.
Why do they still say "rap" like it's the 1980s or something. It's hip-hop for crying out loud!!
Once again, hip-hop gets the blame as usual. He should have threw on some Will Smith and Mos Def if that's the case then he would have been alright.
Anyway, methinks this story is ducktales.
