I would talk to you Shamus, but I'm busy studying for my exam to be an abortion doctor, because I'm tired of serving in congress. Then I have to rush off for my date with my radical muslim divorce lawyer and hope the hubby doesn't find out. In the morning I'm scheduled to attend an Obama fund raisor halfway across the country and am looking forward to being felt up by a cute TSA agent.
Next I'm gonna feed my husband to the birds cuz he publicly disagrees with me and was nice to a pedophile. I figure if I do that in the desert no one but a bunch of northbound aliens will see it, and they won't care cuz he used to be a tower guard. For that matter I expect them to celebrate by pledging allegience to the flag of their new country, singing the national anthem in Spanish, and then giving each other steroid injections in their butts.
After that I'm gonna fill a bunch of cups with my drug free urine and hand it out to welfare recipients so they can get their checks and go back to having babies and doing drugs. Next I'm off to the shipyard to meet my contact and smuggle in some Chinese plastic beads, which I will pay for with wheat. hmmm I feel like I'm forgetting something.
Anyway as soon as I got a minute, I'm gonna give a pretty orange monkey a great big kiss---with his permission of course.

Nancy I couldn't agree more. Are you famliar with Joe Walsh (not the rock star) ? He's one of those tea party congressmen that is especially vocal. His face is everywhere and he considered himself the head of the spear. He did this "outraged" youtube video where he said he would not put one more dollar of debt on HIS kids' backs. Anyway funny thing---he is $117,400 behind in child support. While being behind, he loaned his own campaign $35,000 and went on a trip to Mexico and Italy with his girlfriend. ALSO he quit paying his mortgage and his house was foreclosed on. Is it any wonder that these whack jobs don't understand the gravity of default??
where's the religious freedom in birth control mandate?.

Yeah. I'm fine with it, but really want them to think about the full picture. Taking part in group insurance for instance. Or Mutual Funds. How many people REALLY research the companies that are being invested in? By taking the mutual fund route, you give that responsiblity to someone else. If you resist health care on the basis that your money ends up in a fund that is also used to pay for contraception or abortion, but leave your retirement be, that is disingenuous.

Mississippi likes to say it is the safest state for the unborn. However they have the highest infant mortality rate and the second highest rate for children living in poverty. Pregnant women and children can't get needed health care. Do you see a contradiction here?
I find it problematic when people freak out that others may actually get health care on the basis that an insurance company might also provide abortion or contraception, but conveniently turn their heads as babies die in need of medical attention. I tend to think all this concern is a bit misplaced. The most evil thing the government can do is provide health care for these ones.

If you had group health insurance through your employer, and you found out that they covered the morning after pill, would you drop the insurance? Your premiums go into a fund that is spread out to cover health care for everyone in that group, so technically you would be supporting that and other forms of birth control even if you don't use them. Would you drop your health insurance if you found out?
Your taxes fund a war machine that sometimes kills babies, children and pregnant women. Do you stop paying taxes? You invest in a mutual fund for retirement, and your investment company decides what stocks and bonds to put it in. They choose companies that manufacture guns, or perhaps pharmaceuticals that makes the morning after pill, do you withdraw from that fund? You go to an emergency room that also treats rape victims and offers the morning after pill. Technically you think you are paying for your own care, however the hospital will use that money how it sees fit. It will go into a general fund and be doled out as needed. Do you not go to that hospital?
You find out that some private insurance companies provide services that you would never use on moral grounds, but health care reform uses these companies to make sure everyone can actually get health care. Do you deny health care coverage to pregnant women, children, sick babies, healthy babies and premies because your money goes into a general fund that may pay for the morning after pill? Have you also stopped paying taxes? Have you pulled your money from mutual funds that you have thoroughly researched? Have you dropped your group insurance provided by your employer?
It's just something to think about. Before taking any hope of health care away from pregant women, children and babies, it would be good to make sure all of your other investments are just as pure. I would respect you for that.

there was no end to the amount of stupid rules put in place.
one that always bugged me was "no shirts with slogans when doing kh yard work or at jw gatherings.
id always get talked to about it when i'd wear shirts with a band on it or whatnot.
Never saying bless you for sneezes or good luck.
my ex wifes mother is dying.

i understand from my daughter that the has something that may be like aplastic anemia.. i guess that even with the forbidden blood tranfusions she would be on a short leash time wise...any one know?.
I don't know anything about the disease, but I'm sorry for you and your daughter. Is your daughter baptized?

i find myself asking that question more and more of late.. my first reason is the claim of a virgin birth.
all of the jewish sources i read say that isaiah 7:14 does not talk about a virgin birth, but rather a birth to a young maiden.
it was only the greek septuagint that shifted this belief to a virgin birth that is similar to their greek myths.. .
and NC i have no idea what you mean
Perhaps I should have said a Jewish corruption of Paganism. I'm tired tonight, so I will just point out a few. The world wide flood. This was already told in Gilgamesh and believed by ancient Sumerians. Much of what is in the OT existed in some form before Moses. Are you familiar with the code of Hammurabi? I had to write a paper on it and was shocked at some of the similiarities between it and the 10 commandments--includiing eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth. Also the principals for bearing false witness and the punishment of doing so. If a false testimony could have brought the death penalty, then the liar was sentenced to death. I was still a believer when I did this research. Some of Proverbs can be found in older, pagan writings. Just take a look. You may be surprised.

I know Snoozy. I'm on disability. Mine comes the 3rd Wednsday. Worked hard when I could. Bought disability insurance, and they lower the benefit by whatever I get in SS. Do you think they will raise my benefit now if SS stops? I'm thinking no. They guarantee me 60% of my salary, but once SS sets in they adjust it forever. Sigh. I've been a bit tense.
