If You Could Ask Ray Franz A Question, What Would It Be?

i'd like to know how he really feels 23 years after he got disfellowshipped.

his books show no real bitterness, but in reality isn't he a little???

does he miss "the friends", or did he just learn to rely on god and either be content in himself or simply try to make new friends.

I would simply ask Ray if he understood how much he means to so many people. I have no desire to question his frame of mind or the level of bitterness that may remain. He's an older man and has worked his butt off.

Then I would find great pleasure in thanking him and shaking his hand. Give him a smile and allow him his peace.

Padi Certification

i went to the local dive shop today to pick up a used shortie wet suit.

forty bucks--can't beat the price.

while i was there, the owner told me that i could complete my training course that i started 4 years ago.

Scuba is the most fun you can have wearing rubber. Yes I always wear rubber, it isn't the 60's any longer for crying out loud. Safe diving is a must.

Sunday morning meetings

i find that sunday meetings started too late.

started at 10am and finished at 12 noon.

before people left the hall, drove home, got changed, cooked the dinner, and started to eat, it was past 1pm.

First ours started at 9:30 because so many lived in a town many miles away. Everyone complained when it got moved to 10:00am because it was figured if they had to go to work down the hill wouldn't they be able to get there by 8am at the latesst. Then eventually no one lived in that town that attended meetings so they kept it the same.

Now they share the hall so meeting times are changed around. But they share only because they've moved in an already existing congregation. This congregation has to travel a long ways but what the heck, they get to brag about splitting right?

The worst thing was when they decided to move the thursay meeting to friday. We got about 100 people in the hall on thursdays and maybe 35-40 at the most on friday. After a few months I pointed this out to the elders. One jumps down my throat and asks me if I'm sure attendance is down. I had to laugh and asked him if he were stupid or what? We went from 2 rear schools to none. He said don't be so sure of things. This was the beginning of the end for me. Could Jehovah really be directing anything around there?

we went to a movie this evening and while standing in line i look over to the line about 50 feet away and see a pretty woman waving at me.

i have no idea who this is.

she looked familiar but i was clueless.

Yep, always tough when you meet a nice active JW. But I have to admit that I liked the vast majority of witnesses I knew. I just feel a bit sorry for them these days. Trapped and no way out.

Well I have plenty of sins. Some secret, some right out there for all the world to see. I have erotic dreams, a lot.

Then there are times when I'm sexually aroused just posting in certain threads.

Another thing is I have the most fun wearing rubber. Yes I have a rubber fetish. I will strip down to almost nothing, slip on a wetsuit and scuba gear and go down as far as I can manage.

Phew, aroused already.

We went to a movie this evening and while standing in line I look over to the line about 50 feet away and see a pretty woman waving at me. I have no idea who this is. She looked familiar but I was clueless. So she yells hi Al and I get out of my line to walk over. Then I recognize her. She's a young married JW I know. Nice lady. Anyway she knows I'm DAed yet wanted to chat. What was fun is her sister, husband, brother in law and kids are all waiting for her to make the purchase. Her MS husband doesn't look very happy to see me chatting with her. She looks over, smiles at him and continues to chat, ask me how I'm doing.

Anyway it's funny how things go. I'm actually getting more attention from JW's now that I'm DAed than when I was just an inactive fader. Now this young lady never did shun me, she is very nice. Good to see that there are a few thinking caring JW's running around that don't have pure fear running through their veins.

We Won League Championship

my boys and i went on an out of town roadtrip this weekend to play two long distance teams and finish out the regular season.

we finished the regular season without a loss and will go into the district playoffs next weekend as the number 1 seed.

win one game there and we are in the oregon state championships with 10 other teams.

Thanks for your comments. We've had a lot of fun but after a 6 hour bus trip that got me home at 2am I found myself unable to sleep. So I got up and went over videos from the games. I also reviewed a video of the team we'll be playing friday night and make tons of notes.

I'm so tired that I can't stand it. But it's been an adventure and I don't want it ending soon.

Anyway on another note I find that when I hit active topics it only shows the first topic in each category. It's nice to be able to see all the new topics when hitting active.
