(specially when is football & basketball season
My daughter marches with her high school band...West coast percussion champions WBA last year....she is the drumline captain....this is my favorite time of year.
You should go to a few games, you will feel good even if a little sad. Volunteer at the school. Maybe sign up to do reading time at the local kindegarten....
I'm glad my 4 year old started kindegarten this year, I get to start all over again. Motherhood is wonderful. A Highschool senior and a Kinder....across the street from each other. If I survive I will write a memoir....LOL.
just an fyi for anyone interested - there is a major drive on to push the bill forward for national healthcare in the usa.
you can sign the petition by going to http://www.onecarenow.org/.. it has gone through one part of the process last year and now the push is on to get it moved to the next level - it is backed by over 400 groups including the uaw i believe.
it is no longer if it happens, it is only a matter of time as to when it happens.
Who was it that said NHS wouldn't go broke?
so you basically can't answer the question so you go off in left field....surprise.
sw what I said is, YES, people who work hard are better people than lazy people....if that puts me in the "better" category so be it. I'll wear that label with pride.
I don't know what state you live in so I can't advise you of resources but feel free to PM me.

Dear Flag,
Good for your son, you must be a proud mamma. My daughter is a senior this year, and I was already getting melancholy thinking of missing her. She surprised me and said she will be going to CSUF. SDSU was an option, but she hates palm trees, LOL.
You know what's amazing, for all these years you have someone to nuture and all you can think about is SWEET freedom, and then it comes and it's not as sweet as you thought. Those little boogers are exciting, and especially if their friends are always around.
You did good mamma.

That should be good for a picture on the front page of the Awake! Yippee! Another childless mother.
sometimes, it's nice to get a reminder that there are people out there who are crazier than my parents.
this was one of those times.. this morning, i was brushing my teeth when the phone rang.
now, when someone phones at 6:45am, it's usually pretty important.
LOL at Midget.
Back in the old days when telemarketers could call freely, I would tell them my husband had just run off with another women, I had not job and all these kids to feed
My favorite was asking if they could wait for the first of the month, as I was broke and waiting for my next welfare check. Oh but I do have S&H green Stamps in the meantime to use as 'collateral.'

The United States has 1.3% of it's population at 85 or older in 2000. When they ran that census in 2000, the total population figures were
April 1, 2000 (Estimates Base) | 281,424,602 |
That gives us 365,000 roughly at 6 years ago. As the rate of death accelerates dramatically as humans age, I guess you can extrapolate from there.

i was reading the "news" on fark.com and one of the topics that came up was how some fundamentalists are refusing rabies treatment for their children based on some supposed scripture.
i suspect it was the same "old light" that the wt used to forbid true christians (meaning jw's) from being vaccinated.. the conversation turned to weird religious beliefs used to make children suffer and their parents to appear more "spiritual" as a result of that suffering (a weird kind of munchausen's complex if you ask me).
in the process up pop the dubs and blood transfusions.. an observation was that the martyred children are often placed on the cover of the wt literature or have articles written describing their spiritual strength; in other words certain people who have followed the rules are hilighted as being particularly "special" in some way.. just to make sure, i called up my book study reader who has about 50 years of serving the wt and asked him "why don't jw's celebrate mother's day again?".
Gary buss you should be taken out and shot. I just threw up coffee in my mouth from laughing at that damn picture. To think I hauled that around from door to door. Hilarious!

i bet some still carry them.
you all know what i'm talking about; there were at least 3 brothers in the congregation that had one.
thank god my father wasn't one of them.
These things were freakin huge; you could get several bibles, WT publications, literature, song books, and a partridge in a pear tree all in there.
the better to seem more spiritual with, my dearie.
Ahhh bookbag memories. Craig Withers carried one that was stamped "Genuine Naugahyde." To be fair, we were all young broke pioneers doing the Lawd's work. Then, his handle broke because of all the spiritual goodies inside. He began carriying it with flair as he couldn't afford a new one. It was a large, envelope looking thingy. He just carried it by inserting his finger in the corner and letting it dangle precariously. I never will forget working Aurora NY door to door and him stepping off the bottom step onto the slate walkway....in winter....with black ice.....he did the biggest split I have ever seen a man do and hell no it wasn't intentional. One foot was like 5 feet in front of the other and had shot out with rocket-like speed. Thank god for the bookbag, he was able to use it as a fulcrum by placing it on the ground and doing a bird-like hop to regain his footing.....If you could see me laughing.......
Of course I got mine in Tijuana Mex on a familly vacation. A brother there makes his living by manufacturing bookbags. Mine was pearlized leather. ohhhh soo 80's.
