Congrats AM; You'll find every day out gets better and better. I really enjoy sleeping in on the weekends. I remarried a wonderful girl & have never been happier. After a while, (and it takes a while) the only emotion you'll be left with is pity for those still in.

Sad I won't be making the Sturgis trip. Currently riding a Harley. Grew up on Yamahas & Hondas. Been from NY to Mexico, Key West & the West Coast by bike. If you see my "MRQUIK" vanity plate, honk & wave me over.

First post, so Hey Everyone!
by thinking_1 injust thought i'd introduce myself.
i've been lurking for a few months and want to get in on some of the conversation.. also here's a song that's taken on a new personal meaning for me.
(i was born in to a witness family and have recently woke up to the fact that it is just a group of people following just men.

My mother died believing the WBTS was the truth. We had a few discussions, but I never pressed the issue. I knew she was dying. I wanted her to be at peace. If & when I ever see her again, I'm sure we'll all have a good laugh.

The (study) WT November 2011 Makes Me Puke !
by Hairyhegoat inthis study edition is an absolute attack on kids going to higher education, and you all are getting too cosy at home with your sky tv and the internet, get out on the doors you idle dogs.. oh and if you have a good job already you could not be putting the kingdum first !.
here is some of the crap in the mag, and the article temporary residents in a wicked world.. 10. .
in view of the imminent end of the present system of things, as jehovahs servants.

Passed up a scholarship myself in '69. Only through dumb luck ended up in a good job. I wonder how my childhood friends are doing, looking to retire on Social Security? Oh, I forgot, the end is near. I'm sure it's comforting knowing you're going to live forever. You still believe that, don't you? Remember millions now living will never die. I have to laugh at the memorial talks where they bring up that point. This is all the while we're staring at the ashes at the front of the hall.

Ah the judicial committees. I would volunteer for those. Actually tried to help. Nowhere better than a committe meeting to realize that Holy Spirit ain't welcome there. Just wait for the most opinionated/respected elder to open his mouth & follow his lead. Don't forget the obligitory prayer. Ha, Ha, Ha. Almost forgot my own. Pissed off the leader who was an ass & knew I thought he was an ass. Can't thank him enough for keeping me out for 2 yrs. Was just enough time to wake up. Thanks Frank.

Looks Like The WT Are Out Of Willing Men To Make MS&Elders !
by Hairyhegoat inthis info is again from the study edition nov 2011 and it's just as looney as the other .
catch more men.
it is our desire that many more men will.

Figuring that the current generation of elders/servants are now AARP members, one can only watch with some satisfaction as they slowly come to a grinding halt. Eventually all cults run out of steam. I wonder who gets to run off with the billions of assets? I need to file a claim.

Would You Like To Know What Goes On At Elder's Meetings?
by minimus inhave you ever wondered what goes on at an elder's meeting?
after a prayer, the presiding overseer will state what the purpose of the meeting is.
if it's a quarterly meeting, the elders will discuss the spirituality of the congregation, its spirit and any dangerous trends that may be observed.

I was one of 14 elders we had at our hall. We spent a sizable amount of time on strong arming weaker elders into doing all the work. I miss the good old days.

I need that "special knowledge" that the end is near. Funny, I heard that in 1958, 1967, 1975,1989,1995 ad nauseum. Could I get clarification from the GB on their explanation of the word "near"? Near as in the nearest galaxy? Near as in the the distance to the sun? Near as in the creation of the solar system? One would think with all that holy spirit flowing into those lying bastards they could be a little more precise.
