All respones will be subjective. True love, unity & obedience. Point out that those are not exclusive; any religion can claim that. True love? How about the pedophile cases. Unity? Nazis had that. Obedience too. Mark of the true religion would be accurate prophesy. WBTS has had ZERO. Have fun with this.

I need help when answering proof of WT being only religion
by DS211 inok so i have already been talked to about this and i always have difficulty finding a retort.
my friend/elder condtantly tells me to visit bethel to prove its gods org--efficient, obedient, loving place, yadda yadda.
and he also uses how many go out and preach the same message, how no matter where you go youll get the same loving treatment, follow the bible as best they can (ha), show lots of love, do t celebrate pagan holidays, etc etc.

well, i can't say i've emotionally "missed" them!.
while writing my book i had cause to reflect on what my life might have been had i not walked out of a kingdom hall for the last time in 1978.. what if i had gone on attending meetings?.

I pass a hall every Sunday morning. Usually I am:
Going skiing.
Taking my lovely wife to breakfast.
Screaming past on my Harley.
Taking the wife yard sailing. ( I'm on the fence about going into the hall on this one.)
You're right Terry. If nothing else, I have redeemed thousands of hours of my life back. Hours that would have been sacrificed to a cult. Such a waste.
I'll take yard sailing after all.

Ahh Yonge St. Toronto. They blocked off about 10 blocks back in the late 60's/early 70's. Got a room for $9.00. They refunded $2.00 if you brought the key back the next morning. Was there the Friday the dropped the drinking age to 18 . Couldn't into a bar anywhere. Caught a blues concert on Toronto island with Eric Clapton. All gone but the memories & the Molson Canadian. ( If you're really Canandian, you're already humming that tune in your head.)

1st Time in 3 Years JW's call at our Door - Two 30 yr. long Time JW's
by flipper ini thought i was back on the jw radar after my jw daughter had a local elder call on me back in 2011 - but apparently not.
he obviously didn't let his elders know i lived here, no record was kept for posterity and just called my daughter telling her that her " dad has differences with the organization " because he never called back on me as he promised to talk again.
as i'm just inactive for 10 years.. so these two older jw ladys come knocking yesterday - one lady about 57 and the other lady older about 71 yrs.old ( i asked how long they had been jw's and told me they both have been in 30 years.

Hi Terry; I should mention that to the ex. Her Dad was born in 1898 & knew Rutherford personally. Tough demotion for all those snooty family members with family in as " anointed ones". Makes them equal to the rank & file. LOL!!!

Bonezz; Know how you feel. I don't believe she'll change her mind about having a relationship with you any time soon, but maybe she'll have to answer tough questions from others. That could lead into her having to do research & maybe if she's like her Dad, she'll see through the deception. Good Luck & hang in there.

Finally Got to Be the Saturday Morning Householder

i casually walked out to the front yard and, sure enough an older brother with a young married man in tow came over to me.
i let them go through the usual speil & took the magazines.

I was careful not to mention any WT phrase. I repeatedly went back to flip flops that cost the lives of their members. I got the "light getting brighter" answer. I said "Well as the one true religion led by God certainly God would know. For him to let your members die over a principle you changed years later would violate the cardinal rule of the one true religion, that of loving one another. (No reply to that one.) This went on for 45 minutes.

Hi TTATTE: I too, found Ray's book an eye opener. I had 50 yrs in; 20 as an elder. I immediately called family & friends to warn them of the deception. I immediately lost family & friends. So chose your course of action wisely. For me, I had no other choice regardless of the consequences. Each of us needs to decide which avenue will work the best. My best advice is Live Well ... Enjoy Life. (Also, Good Luck.......Happy Birthday & Merry Christmas. :)
