I know many have suffered to varying degrees at the hands of this cult. One of the first casualties is our self- esteem. Our awakening takes us all on different paths. Some have resolved there is no God. Others believe. Having wasted a half a century of my life letting others tell me what is true, I would not for a second challenge any members' personal beliefs. And that's part of what unites us. We outnumber them. We know TTAT. We have left behind the mental shackles holding us back from enjoying life. Yes, we still suffer but, in the end, we become confident, stronger, more content & happier. I personally pity them. So, keep looking forward. Find your own joy. We have become strong. And, as always; Live Well....Enjoy Life!!!

Window-washer is the cover of Feb 2015 WT, "How to enjoy your work!" Hahaha!!
by EndofMysteries in.
after all the jokes and satire on this website about jw's only being able to amount to window washers and house cleaners, the cover page of "how to enjoy your work" showing a window washer and cleaner in the back ground.
i almost wonder if some awakened, still-in, from this site is part of the writing department or illustrations and put that in there as an inside joke for us?.

Do well enough to pass the local hall Sunday mornings on the way to the ski slopes. I also lay on the horn in the summer when I pass by on the Harley. Just want all the brain dead inside to know that life is passing them by. I also smile at all my former aquaintences huddled at the coffee shop on Saturday mornings as I'm taking the boat out. It's a hassle to get the boat & trailer in the coffee shop parking lot, but well worth the looks I get.

by OneEyedJoe inso, unfortunately, i'm still on the tms and had a talk tonight (in front of a co, no less) and the talk was on the subject of adultery.
in the source material there's reference to "spiritual adultery" i.e.
idolotry or when israel had alliances with pagan nations.

I had to cover the MS one night. The guy who had the instruction talk forgot he had that assignment. The way it worked was if a student forgot, the guy conducting had to fill in. The material that night was fairly deep & I hadn't looked at it as this brother always was prepared. As the song began Bill says to me he'll handle it. He had like 4 minutes to come up with 20 minutes of material. To this day I'll never forget Bill walking on the stage & delivering a flawless presentation. He even went over time. No one knew but me. This was the same guy who fell asleep in first row at the elders' schools. Way too smart. Of course, he's gone now with so many others. Miss you Bill...

Anyone in Buffalo?
by Simon insnow storms look intense.
natural disasters and weather extremes can hit hard and fast.. hope you're all staying warm and safe if you're in the middle of it.. be careful of trying to shovel the driveway - even a couple of ft of snow is a lot of weight to move.
when it's 6ft there's little point (roads will be impassible).. .

NYS Thruway is still closed from Rochester to the Penn. border. We have a construction crew that's been stuck in a motel right off the Thruway for 3 days. They're trying to get the football stadium shoveled out for the game on Sunday. Next week the forecast for Monday is in the 50's. Gotta love "lake effect" weather. Cold air blows over the warmer water of Lake Erie & will create impressive amounts of snow. Any room for me in Australia or New Zealand?

Michael Brown verdict discussion policy
by Simon init's likely that the grand jury verdict on the michael brown incident will be released in the coming days or weeks.. i've no doubt many people are going to feel strongly about things whatever the verdict is.. whatever the outcome though, here's what's not going to happen:.
we're not going to put up with inflamatory language and comments designed to rile others up.
be respectful.. we will not allow accusations of racism simply because some have a view of the verdict that contradicts others.. there will not be invented evidence or claims being repeated - if it's been falsely reported or debunked then it's off limits.. it's not going to be an opportunity for people to air past gripes over past discussions.. if you feel that you cannot discuss the subject in a rational way then it may be better to simply avoid any topics on the matter.. please try to be objective and respectful if you do decide to comment and not keen to take offense.

I have the unique opportunity to explain what goes through your mind during an assault. For the record, I carry a 32 caliber Beretta. Several weeks ago a construction crew of four building my new house was attacked by a deranged man walking down the street. I witnessed this from my office trailer on a hill about 1000 ft. away. I ran out of the trailer & yelled at the to leave my property & that I was calling 911. The man turned immediately & came after me. The man was a white male, 220 pounds, 6' 2" & about 30 yrs. old. I'm 63 & in the middle of a field. There's no way I'm going to outrun this guy. He had no weapon in his hand & I figured I could take a beating instead of killing this guy. I dodged the first punch but caught the second one which opened a 1/2" wound at my mouth. He grabbed me by the head & threw me to the ground. As I now was expecting him to break my neck, I rolled on my back to pull the Beretta out. I had every intention of emptying the clip into his chest. At the same moment, he suddenly stopped, stood up & casually walked away. About a minute late the first state trooper went by, caught & arrested this guy. Turns out, he was on drugs & has a history of assaults. He's in prison now. I never met this guy before & to this day, I have no animosity towards him. But every human being has the right of self defense. You have literally seconds to decide what level of defense is necessary. Unless you've been there before & have had to make that decision, you really can't appreciate what goes through your mind. Oh, by the way I made the 911 call just before the assault. I would have been long dead before the first state trooper arrived.

I graduated in 1969. Turned down a scholarship & a career as an airline pilot as the "end was near". Took auto mechanics instead in tech school. Became a service manager before getting into construction. I now am a general manager for a petrochemical construction company & also own a company. I would gladly have given all this up to pursue my passion for flying. I would be retired by now in Florida instead of freezing my butt off in NY.

I also found it helpful to start with points they agree on. Jehovah is a God of reason & love. For him to knowingly allow the GB to publish doctrine that allowed thousands to die needlessly is a violation of the primary tenet of the true religion; Love. That being the case & we know it is impossible for God to violate either principle, the responsiblity falls on the shoulders of the GB who now must be recognized as promoting their own opinions as facts. And you know what they say about opinions....
