1. Disfellowshipped. 2. Married at 23 during the 75 scare. Was not in love with my wife at the time, but rationalized we would soon be in paradise & all would be fine. All was not fine. 23 years later, we lived separate lives. I found the love of my life, told the ex I was leaving & left. Of course, I got disfellowshipped which I expected. Had one member of the committee that had an axe to grind. After 4 yrs. out, didn't care anymore. Read Crisis of Conscience over a weekend. That was my epiphany. I never looked back. I'd like to take this time to thank Frank Mullie for his hypocritical, self-righteous stance over 4 yrs. Frank, if it wasn't for you, I could very well be back in that worthless cult with you.

Hi CoCo; Been out for 4 yrs. now. Rarely think of what's going on at the Borg nor do I really care. But I know how you feel. I left lifelong friends. Good people I miss from time to time. People that would show up to give you a hand after I politely turned them down. Friends I golfed with just for their companionship. (I really stink at golf.) The Sunday- after- meeting lunches with my mother & friends. I know someday everything will be right again. In the meantime, if you can continue to pull off the balancing act; Live Well.... Enjoy Life.

Delineating the shameful story of the Jehovah's Witnesses failed apocalypse saga
by mankkeli inone of the most firmly established new religious movements which bases its mission on apocalyptic predictions is jehovahs witnesses.
jehovahs witnesses believe that we are living in a harvest period, the end days of the present world, and should dramatically change our lives accordingly.. the movement can be traced to the 1830s, when a baptist leader named william miller announced that the bible is full of secret numerical clues.
according to his interpretation of scriptural passages, he wrote of his prediction that christ would return to earth some time between march 21, 1843 and march 21, 1844. an estimated 100,000 people accepted his message and formed an informal network to anticipate the second coming, often leaving their mainstream christain churches in the process.

So Researcher; 1914 was a turning point? Another world war? There have been many that classify. Unleashing of Satan? This is the best he can do after a century? Jehovah's Holy Spirit poured out on the GB? Do you think it reasonable that Holy Spirit would even remotely lead a people to join any part of the UN, flip flop on major issues, constantly encourage it R&F to expect an imminent Paradise? Tell you they make mistakes, but unlike the candor of the early Christians never admit to them? And whose responsible for those mistakes? The Holy Spirit? Sorry, this organization does not now nor ever had Holy Spirit. If you're in, get out now. Oh, I forgot. My background. Was a Witness for 50 years. Father-in-law of the anointed. Actually knew Rutherford. Was an MS, Elder, Pioneer. Routinely gave DC parts. Served on RBC. I know this organization very well. It's not the Truth.

Do you think the British are a proud nation?
by not bitter ini think we are to a degree but i think its on a different level to the americans.
the impression i get (from watching us tv and news) is that the majority of americans come across as being proud to be american and quite a possitive nation.
whereas us brits will display pride as a nation when we have to.

he was an introvert, and a circuit overseer.

Hello Paul; You have my sympathy as well. I also debated not going to my mother's memorial talk. She was well known & loved by many. I did go & had two sisters I come up & talk to me. The rest acted as if I was invisible. True to form the talk included the line "many will have the opportunity of never dying". Funny how ironic that sounds at a funeral. I have always had comfort in Paul's words of the resurrection to include the righteous & unrighteous. Unless you piss off the holy spirit, you get a free pass. So hang in there. Go with your head held high. Look them straight in the eye. Each & every one of them owes you & me & everyone else on this thread an apology.

I am trying to figure out my future if I should go to college or just keep working a regular job...............................
by andys ini am faced with a dilema right now and need some advice on what i should do with my future, i realize that eventually i'll grow old and will need to somehow work my way up so i have something to fall back on, like someone told me once i don't really have a support structure to fall back on, if something happened where i could not work i would probably wind up homeless, moving back in with my parents house would be out of the question because i would never go back to the borg.. this is my situation right now, everything is going good, i love my job, i am single no kids, i work at a hosptal making $10/hour doing janitorial work, also my rent is very cheap about $350 a month for rent on a duplex, i live less then a mile from work, right now i have the most ideal situation to save alot of money even on $10/hr job, but also i realize that everything can go all at once, if i ever lost my job since i don't have no support structure and could not find work i would be sol.. now to some of the things i like doing, i like to drive, one of the things i have always wanted to do is learn truck driving, since i don't have no extra responsibilites, i am still having a hard time though making a decision, on one hand i like my current job, but on the other hand i realize that i do have to plan for the future, if anyone can give me some advice i am at a loss of what to do, also because of the way the econommy is here in the us right now sometimes i think its best to stick with the job that i have but still don't know whats best..

Hi andys; garyneal is right. You're going to spend a large portion of your life at work. If you can do something you love & support a family, it's the best of both worlds. Try to see yourself in 10 yrs, 20 yrs. Can you retire at this job? Lots of opportunities out there. Good Luck.
