I've owned bikes since I was 18. Bought a brand new 1973 Yamaha 650. Took her to Mexico & the west coast. Good dependable bike. I was the service manager at a Chevrolet - Olds Kawasaki dealer. We had an 1100 as a company bike. A great bike. Beat the piss out of a number of Hondas; just can't kill them. Have owned a number of Harley- Davidsons & currently ride a 2015 Road Glide. (License plate is MRQUIK) It has a display that you have to be an electrical engineer to figure out. Top speed on any bike was 142 MPH. Too old to do that crap any more....

I have no prblems with "new light"
by Doug Mason inthere is nothing wrong with accepting new ideas.
even apostle paul changed his mind when he "saw the light".
indeed, i hope to learn new things every day.

So who's responsible for those doctrinal changes that have cost lives in the past? God? Did he change his mind? Would an organization actually led by loving kindness condone this? The obvious answer is men themselves are responsible. And as such, they show this cult for what it is; manmade, with no loving concern for its members. They fail miserably in identifying themselves as the " one true religion".

Recent mistakes of the Governing Body contributing to the decline of JWs
by slimboyfat inthey have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.
some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.
1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.

We had the book study at a brother's home who heated with a wood burning stove. We were studying the "Babylon the Great" book. It was as thick as a Bible. The questions were in a separate pamphlet. The room was on average 90 degrees year round. I was around 10-12 years old. Yeah; I really looked forward to that snoozer.....

I had my ass kicked by an "unarmed" man. I carry a weapon. As this person was 30 lbs heavier & 25 yrs younger tried to break my neck, I had just enough strength to get on my knees to pull out my Smith & Wesson. I was fully prepared to empty the clip in his chest. At that moment he stopped & walked off talking to himself. This would have gone down as "shooting an unarmed man'. Anyone who assaults a police officer, who tries to take his weapon, who reaches into a pocket when told to show their hands should expect to be shot. Don't bother telling me different until you've been there.

But where else should we go? Can you answer this question?
by purrpurr inhaving watched many jc youtube videos one question that gets asked is "where else would you go?".
in other words if not jehovah's witnesses then what other religion or organisation would you go to?.
it's one that i have trouble answering, what would you say?.

The answer for JW's is not "where to go" but "when to go". Shooting down 1914 as the beginning or ending of anything is quite easy. That means the "last generation" hasn't started. Which means they're still in the Gentile Times. Which means the one true religion isn't here. Which means Christ is not King of anything. Which means all religions (including theirs) are false religions. Which means they will all grow old & die. Which means: Don't waste a minute of your life slaving after a religion. (Good news; according to JW religion, all who die during the Gentile Times come back. So don't sweat death. And as I always say; Live Well...Enjoy Life!!!)

Those of us older ones will remember when asking questions was encouraged. Remember the book " Make Sure of All Things" & the song "Make the Truth Your Own"? Remember all the research books? Not so much anymore. Go ahead, ask a question. See where that gets you. Yet, how do you prove anything is true without asking questions? Did not Jesus respond to questions asked by Satan? I guess the current rank & file aren't quite as articulate.......

" you will never grow old..." A more grievous lie is hard to imagine. I heard this one first in 1957. I was 6. My mother had just converted. I heard it many times after that. My first ministry school conductor, John Caister, also added I wouldn't finish high school before " the end". John & his wife Marceil went into the circuit work. They never, of course, had children. When Marceil died, John was beyond consolation. It was heartbreaking to watch. Now, they're all gone. Mom, John & old friends in the congregation. Yet, the GB continues to spread this terrible lie & gullible people fall for it. I did. It shaped my entire life. The stress I endured all through high school. The scholarship I turned down. The pension I never had. The woman I married. Sacrifices made because I would never grow old. Today, I am old. Today I am 65.

You won't be such a naysayer when the Bills win the Superbowl this year. (That will also be clear & irrefutable proof that the end is near...)
