  If you have several corporations owned or controlled by the same people it becomes a control group and may be treated as one entity. That is for for-profit corporations and it largely has to do with taxes I think. I am not sure how that applies to non-profits. The announcement in the OP didn't specify that this corporation is non-profit. So it may not be. Seems to me they are looking for ways to move assets.

  Geoffrey Jackson: "That would be presumptuous of us"...

  within the first few minutes, mr. stewart asked geoffrey jackson if the members of the governing body consider themselves to be god's spokesperson on earth.. his response: "that would be presumptuous of us" (implying that they don't consider themselves to be god's sole channel of communication).. to me, that was the worst lie of about 26 lies he's told during this hearing.

  however, mr. stewart missed an opportunity to call out mr. jackson on this bold-faced lie.

  he should have asked him to explain why the watchtower magazine teaches otherwise.

  in the posts about the australian royal commission there have been several references to discussions on jw-archive.

  i'd not heard of that site, so checked it out.

  it seems to be used by many active jws - its tumblr style archive is full of pictures of jws doing their thing.

  I would read this as having been prepared and possibly delivered May 2013.

  This is current. May they get what they deserve.

  well another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.

  i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.

  If the GB really believed that rubbish, they would still have book studies and other meetings in homes and would leave the money where the local congregations would be able to use it to care for themselves during the GT.

  I don't know about that. They might really believe it - they just think it wont include them because they are a protected people. They may be in for a big surprise.
