When he is reading those scriptures, it just makes me think about how much those apply to the Governing Body.
Especially as more and more has become clear about how the GB decides on things - the story of the Wheat and the Weeds has come to mind. I was always taught that Jesus was looking for the Wheat - his followers. But that the Weeds would look so similar, that they could not be recognized until the Harvest. My question has become:
What if the JWs are a WEED and don't know it? I wonder how JWs would expect God to deal with them as sincere persons who were lead astray. Would he destroy them without mercy as they currently feel will be done to all those who are not JW?
The hypocrascy is nausiating.

This was bothersome to me:
A brother who has grown children not living at home may also be recommended if his children continue to serve Jehovah and have a good reputation.
Maybe this is why some parents, particularly fathers pester their otherwise happy non-attending grown children. It may not be as much about the children as it is the a need to satisfy the fathers desire for more "privileges" such as a convention or circuit part or talk.

WT Society SEC Records : Hedge Funds, Cayman Islands, Financial Losses - Links
by flipper inso my wife and i were curious so i researched some financial links and found records indicating that the wt society has been operating at a loss since the year 2012. as you read the links it shows a loss of 10 million $$$ in 2012, about 16 million $$$ in 2013, and a whopping loss of 56 million $$$ in 2014 - where the expenditures exceeded the revenues for each of those years in the amount i've mentioned.
also there is a link on this same website with the sec records indicating that the wt society and it's representatives funneled 40 million $$$$ into hedge funds in the cayman islands as early as 2007. if you look online on other sites you can see evidence that indicates the wt society attended hedge fund conferences to look into more shadiness in 2011 and isn't it curious that by 2012 the wt society started showing losses.

So then, we don't know that they are really losing any money. It is easy if you have multiple entities to simply move money around by charging one of your businesses for the services of another. Nothing illegal there, but a common strategy.
I doubt that these numbers, especially if they are the only ones publicly available, reflect anything real.

What I read looked like it was for WT Canada...how are those numbers related to WT USA or any of the other entities worldwide? What are the real numbers? Can those numbers be verified on any website that is not "apostate"? -

heartbroken and not sure what to do...
by Khaleesi ini don't know what to do.... i married last year and things have been very rocky.
we dated for 4 years and did have normal issues but always had a lingering doubt something was just not right in our relationship-behavior to be more specific, he is not a jw, but i am.
yes i know i married outside the "lord" but after my first marriage to a jw ended in divorce for physical abuse, i was glad i didn't married another jw.

I think you need to do some research about Aspergers. This isn't personal to you - his response is how his brain is wired. If you love him, do some research and get some help to figure out what YOU need to do. This kind of interaction is one thing that people with Aspergers struggle with - but it doesn't mean that your relationship has to fail.
This has a lot to do with you being willing to accept him as he is, and see how to support him so that you both get what you want/need out of the relationship. It won't be a fast process, but if he is open and there is progress being made, then he deserves a chance to have this work.

Please, help me to show the USA that a public inquiry into child abuse...
by defender of truth in.. in institutions is needed.
it needs to be done as soon as possible.. and i need you to help me.. i need someone, maybe more than one person, to draft a template, for a letter to the white house.. it has to clearly state that the usa is falling way behind many other countries, in terms of protecting children in institutions nationwide.. it has to make this clear: .
both australia and the uk (independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales, see here: www.csa-inquiry.independent.gov.uk/about-the-inquiry ) are currently investing large amounts of time and financial resources to research the best possible policies to protect children, across all institutions, religious and nonreligious.. they are working to expose the failures of various institutions, that have not reported child abuse, or have even covered it up... why are the united states of america not doing the same?!!.
