Blood Cards on File with the Elders?
by EyesOpenHeartBroken ini have a question for elders here or recent elders.
were the elders, in the last 10 years, given instruction to keep a copy of every publishers blood card on file at the kh?.
we moved to our current cong 6 years ago, and shortly after we moved in, the boe requested everyone update and give a copy of card to the kh.

That elder was way out of line telling you which options are "correct." If god's organization provided options from which you chose, none of them can be "wrong." How dare he! This is a personal choice--he can't force his opinion onto something this important. What an invasion of privacy. You need to report this to the CO. As horrible as the blood policy is, he's way overstepped his boundaries as an elder. -

God Made Eve From Adam’s Penis, Not His Rib, Academic Claims
by OrphanCrow inthere are days that i drop to the ground and kiss the earth in gratitude that i was born a woman.
at least women didn't have anything to do with writing the bibble.
and women don't come up with this nonsense.

It would make more sense that way. It would explain why 2 perfect nudists in a magic garden for an untold amount of time never got around to producing PERFECT offspring. It's almost as if they were destined to ensure "sin" and "imperfection" would become inherited traits for the entire human species. I could see yahweh being that evil. -

Watchtower crackdown on anointed expansion - are they reaching for a solution to the expanding numbers problem?
by slimboyfat inif this has been discussed i missed it.
i think the january study watchtower is a concerted attempt to reduce the numbers claiming to be anointed.
but i love the sneaky way they go about it this time.

They've tried discrediting the current "newly anointed" because it threatens their power structure & delegitimizes the GB claim to authority. This demeaning approach will only work for awhile.
the only long-term solution is the inevitable new light: "144,000 is a figurative number." Fuckin guarantee that change is coming. Guaran-damn-tee it.

This is going to backfire on them. This is simply going to reduce the anointed population to a high concentration on nutjobs who "don't think... they know."
a real crazy person doesn't think they're crazy--they think everyone else is.
i also love their attempt at explaining what being anointed feels like. It's sounds exactly like how it is to be gay, but the bOrg flatly ignores the "you just know" explaination for LGBT people.

If a year is really 365 1/4 days why 360 days to calculate 1914
by blondie indoesn't that throw off the date?.
*** w51 6/15 p. 383 questions from readers ***.
in establishing the length of the seven times of the gentiles, a time or year of 360 days is used, to give 2,520 days, which become 2,520 years when ezekiel 4:6 is applied.

Let's not forget:
in addition to lunar/solar/biblical year, you also need to arbitrarily correlate one inch per year when measuring the internal passages of the great pyramid of Giza in order to arrive at 1914 in the first place.
only then do you have to shoehorn 607 into the mix.

Tv's in Kingdom hall
by dothemath inso now that the borg has taken all of the congregations money, there was just a resolution to get all new tv's, etc for the stage for the new meeting format.. i wasn't there, but it was a large sum.
somebody mentioned over 3000$.. all the congregations in the city are likely doing the same thing, and are getting all the equipment from bethel.. i was wondering if this was happening all most everywhere?.
can't see it in third world countries( might not even have internet).

No one stands to profit from this. All installation labor will be on volunteered time. Hell, the monitors are probably furnished by a JW supplier who is expected to donate the equipment or sell it at a steep discount
