  Another visit from the elders

  so i have another visit from the elder this week.

  this time they want to speak with my wife, still a believer and myself.

  i think they want to know my position about my children attending the meetings and some other things.. while preparing myself for it i though of a challenge for the elders and my wife.

  Good Afternoon, All! I haven't posted in a long while. Just been really busy. I got a call today to specifically READ this blog.

  PLEASE, JONO 12225........CANCEL THIS MEETING!!!! I agree with many on this board, "it is the beginning of the breakdown of your family!!!! The next step WILL be divorce!!!!!!!!!!!

  This is what is called "cleaning Jehovah's house". DON'T ALLOW THEM TO COME IN AND DISRUPT YOUR FAMILY!!!! I HAVE BEEN THERE!!!

  You'd be so suprised how quickly your J-dubb family will kick you to the curb, throw you under the bus and, will swear you have been taken over by the demons. My husband had gotten so that, he felt EVERY MEETING the kids were going to attend with him or when he couldn't make it he'd TRY to have other J-dubbs just "drop by" to take my children with them!!!!! Best believe, that was put to a halt immediately!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one COMES BETWEEN ME AND MY KIDS!!!!!!

  The thing is, they have to have COMPLETE and TOTAL CONTROL! IT IS A CULT!!!!

  I'm begging you...........BELIEVE WHAT YOU BELIEVE!!! WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS RIGHT!!! DON'T LOSE YOUR FAMILY OVER THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I grew up not fearing old age

  as a teenage jw, i grew up believing that i was not going to finish high school nor would i get old and have to die like my grandparents did.

  well, i did finish high school, as did my children and my grandchildren and old age has not been kind to me.

  i don't like to look at pictures from 40 years ago, from a time when i was healthy and i had the goal of "stay alive till 75.

  Well, my dad worked 37 years, secularly. He did "LEAVE BEHIND" my mom a VERY nice egg. We all just thought we'dnever have to utilize it. He never got to "utilize" old age/retirement.

  That's what I tell my kids, "do well in life, go to college, live where you want, where you want, make mistakes, travel, travel, travel, see the world for yourself, DO NOT MARRY YOUNG, save for old age/retirement and have PLENTY OF FUN LIVING LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! Exhaust THIS LIFE!!!

  "IS THIS LIFE ALL THERE IS?" YES, IT IS!!!!!! So, have PLENTY of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  @LONDO 111 - Right!!!! Many of J-Dubbs I've spoken with NEVER invested in 401k!!!! Sounds stupid and unprepared but, this is what the ARROGANCE of this CULT has done to many!

  @Sour Grapes - I feel for you. I hear you. That was a good way to put it. BASICALLY, BEING TAUGHT THAT AFTER YOU LEAVE THIS LIFE YOU WOULD BE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES WHO ARE AWAITING YOU IN HEAVEN.

  My heart hurts for my dad. He died young (age 66) of cancer. He was angry because he was such a happy and gregarious person. Wanting the best for EVERYBODY that came into his presence. Lived a "simple" life because that's how the J-Dubbs are taught. My dad had so much damned potential to be so much more...to do so much more in life.

  He was VERY angry in the days before he died. God had given him the mental capacity all the way to the end to KNOW he would be snatched away from his family. The people he loved deeeply. Knowing he would never see any of us again....

  ...and we will never see him ever again. I am still very angry w/this religion. It gave us all false hope.

  My parents became J-Dubbs in the 1970's while in their early to mid 30's, taught they would never die and their 5 young children would never finish secular schooling in this life. We'd all be in Paradise circa...1980ish.

  Well, now, dad has passed away...young. And now, mom wants to go because she misses him so badly. We all miss him.....

  this is a clip a that someone wrote back in 2005. it is so damn true.

  we're given this 'fairy-tale' as jdubbs, that when we were in our teens, 20's, 30's, and now 40''s that we would never experience sickness and old age.

  it's been a long time.. well, i guess i'm gonna have to 'cut the cord' with my family.of course, they are all big sinners in jehovah's borganization, as is my husband.

  but, i need to get it together and start attending meetings again!.

  because he is the hypocrite and i don't tell them everything that goes on in our marriage, his word holds power over mine.

  I AM THE BAD GUY BECUASE I CHOOSE TO NOT BE BOTHERED BY THE HYPOCRISY.

  What I'm saying is that my JW family are gossipers, liars, back-stabbers, fornicators/adulteres, wife-beaters, deceitful.... I mean whatever it says in Proverbs 6:16 about the six things that Jehovah hates and SEVEN are detestable to his soul.....many JDUBBS I know has this list on point! And still yet I am wrong for not trying to work things out with the fater of my children PLUS I have the audacity to have thrown Jehovah to the side!

  I have not THOWN Jehovah to the side! I just don't attend organized BULL**** that wants to do head counts for the sake of numbers! I'm saying I will have to make a decision to "separate" myself and my children from my hypocrital JDUBB family. I feel the only reason my mom invites me over is to "check me out" and reprimand me.

  In one breath, my mom is like on e of those "chanting" religions: "JEHOVAH SAID, JEHOVAH SAID, JEHOVAH SAID...FIELD SERVICE, FIELD SERVICE, FIELD SERVICE. But, out of the same supposedly wholesome mouth:"THAT BI***, THAT MUTHA-EFFER, THAT H-O-E-, etc, etc......" It's like she has Tourette Syndrome. Does she even hear herself??

  So, what I'm saying is they feel that as long as a person is "attending the kingdom hall" they are the best of the best of the best...OMG!!! I just can't take the hypocrisy!

  I thank any and all of you for being understanding. I feel as though I'm rambling on. I need a "physical" support group to tell me that I'm not the one who's crazy, here.

  Well, I guess I'm gonna have to 'cut the cord' with my family.Of course, they are all BIG SINNERS in Jehovah's borganization, as is my husband. BUT, I NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER AND START ATTENDING MEETINGS AGAIN!

  Because he is the hypocrite and I don't tell them everything that goes on in our marriage, his word holds power over mine. Basically, my divorcing him and my not attending the meetings with my children is the MOST horrendous offense......not his adulterous ways.

  WTF???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please help me to cope with this. I just don't understand it!!!!!!!!!

  @SKEETER1- ....that IS the message and has ALWAYS been the message. An 'unbaptised' Witness is ALWAYS better than a 'wordly' man. That has always been taught from the platform, babe.

  An 'unbaptised' brother has it so muchbetter because he knows that 'baptised' wifey had better abide by the rules and she WILL. A baptised sister marries a 'worldly' man and he cheats on her............it was to be expected. With the 'unbaptised' brother...he just needs to get baptised.

  ...just telling the truth........
