I really can't be arsed to put forward an intelligent line of reasoning (blame rum, besides many have tried and been ignored or quotes cherrypicked) but for the love of...whatever...Simon...you clearly don't give a shit about this issue so can't you do everyone a favour and stfu? I don’t comment much, but you have even managed to get on my miniscule mammaries with your refusal to recognise what the issue is. Peace out and let people who DO care have their say unhindered. Or not. Your forum. Whatevs.

No 'Tight Pants' policy is now official - classed as 'disturbing'
by wizzstick inin short:- tight pants is no longer just a am3 hang up (or is that a hang up on the well hung?
)- brothers who have effeminate body language are flagged up- as are sisters with 'masculine' hair styles or dress- such dress is 'disturbing to the congregation'- the above must heed the (repeated) counsel from the elders...or they get stripped of the right to share on the ministry- however...this will not be revealed (announced) to the congregation.
wow.

GB "OUR KINGS"
by wannaexit ini was at the one day assembly and the bethel speaker in talking about governing body member klein -referred to him as our king.
.
wonder if governing body members will be so presumptuous to expect this title from the rank and file?.

Isn't Klein dead (I mean finished his earthly course and changed in a twinkling of an eye to take up his heavenly calling?)
Can't recall when the kings' rule starts, sure the teaching has flip-flopped and will again...but in their world he could be ruling as king now. In the real world, dude be dead.

Found Nephew. Sisters incredible reaction.
by umbertoecho ini won't make this long.
i went out again and found him.
got in through the back door, pushed him to wake up, got him out, fed him, watered him and said he was family and i have a plan.. we talked all day, i let him do what he does, in order not to scare him about the future change that could happen for him.

Juliette, huge hugs to you lady. How you managed to keep quiet while she spouted that nonsense I will never know. You are one awesome lady. I felt such a thrill reading of your love for your nephew, as I do every time you see beyond the damaged shell of a human and really and truly help them (like you did that day with the girl outside the hospital, even a 'professional' asking you what to do) you just seem to have a gift for loving the very heart of people's being. Sorry this is rushed, but I find your experiences very touching and moving and just wanted to say so. Thank you for sharing x -

@The Wonder of You
That picture and caption are ideal, Human Rights day seems just the ticket. So is highlighting the shunning that keeps them silently trapped behind the barbed wire fence of the WT compound. I agree with the Thursday 10th December proposal! And making new s with it where possible. The memorial seems just too disrespectful to me, and might only trigger apostaradars rather than the rational thoughts we hope to 'provoke'. Gosh it seems so weird to be talking about a bunch of people who have to be so carefully persuaded to let their brain do what comes naturally - THINK!
Anonymous DA letters letting them get an idea of our numbers and the strength of our feelings would be excellent. A brief, personal experience statement of the facts might have the most impact. Doesn't even have to be mailed to our own KH but just pick a bunch of KH addresses off the website.

I really feel you Marmot; I watched Unity then sealed my veggy fate by watching Earthlings. I now feel more in touch with the compassionate, slightly idealistic wannabee Goth of my teenage pre-bOrg years. -

He seemed very bored and resigned, I think I prefer a TMIII rant, at least he gets a bit animated then! Trying to say that GB does not expect their sayings to be obeyed without question...then in almost the same breath telling dubs to pray for understanding if they disagree while obeying anyway?!? Need Help with Blood Transfusion Illustration
by Dissonant15 inplease, who can provide an intelligent rebuttal to the following illustration?
i always thought it was bullet-proof:.
"if your doctor directs you to 'abstain from alcohol' would you be ok to have it injected into your veins rather than drink it?
-
ListlessWitness
I agree with heaven. In fact I always found that illustration embarrassingly stupid. Blood lives in your veins, belongs there. Alcohol does not. There is no comparison. The Org is oversimplifying the word abstain and taking it out of context. While it merrily overcomplicates simple words like 'overlap' and 'generation' and tries to squeeze them into a context they just don't fit. Crazy word games, mind games, control games. -

Death is not something to be feared!

Article 18
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.
Just saying.
We are all at different stages in our journey since discovering TTATT. Is it really helpful to dismiss anyone's belief in pejorative terms? Or are some still hanging on to the witness way of trying to pull the religious rug out from under people with beliefs that do not match our own? That this life is all there is, not an easy thing to accept. It is like realising you have been handed a death sentence after years of doing what you thought was right to avoid it. Those that have accepted it come across as bitter and determined that no-one has the right to an alternative view. I find that bizarre. If an open mind makes me more sensitive and mild towards those who are struggling with their death sentence, I do not consider that a bad thing. Or a weakness of mind or intellect. Just recognising that all of us are in a different stage in our journey and defending each one's right to take that journey at their own pace and with their own thoughts. Many of us are mourning the loss of the best decades of our life and find the rich variety of opinion in this forum comforting. What reason have we to be harsh to others when we do not know how vulnerable they might be?

Thanks from the bottom of my heart
It is my pleasure Icon. I too am fascinated by the human spirit which seems so indomitable. I wonder if it behaves in a way we don't yet fully understand. I find myself musing about whether it is a unique form of energy which continues after the receptacle which gives it the senses to experience human life expires.
The great thing is Icon, if they're lambasting me for what they consider ignorance, at least they're leaving you alone for a moment my friend 😉
I appreciate your openness, that you are not afraid to be vulnerable by posting here. I find your thoughts interesting and hope to hear more from you. I still don't understand what is considered so harmful about expressing various opinions as we formulate them, to me it is a beautiful thing to maintain a little spirituality even after our trust in religion to provide answers has been so thoroughly abused and betrayed.
To not admit that there are many things about which the human race remains ignorant is...well...ignorant. And then try to shut down others free expression by unkind comments is...well...I guess my Mum always taught me that if you haven't got anything pleasant to say, don't say anything at all.
