It is my pleasure Icon. I too am fascinated by the human spirit which seems so indomitable. I wonder if it behaves in a way we don't yet fully understand. I find myself musing about whether it is a unique form of energy which continues after the receptacle which gives it the senses to experience human life expires.

The great thing is Icon, if they're lambasting me for what they consider ignorance, at least they're leaving you alone for a moment my friend 😉

I appreciate your openness, that you are not afraid to be vulnerable by posting here. I find your thoughts interesting and hope to hear more from you. I still don't understand what is considered so harmful about expressing various opinions as we formulate them, to me it is a beautiful thing to maintain a little spirituality even after our trust in religion to provide answers has been so thoroughly abused and betrayed.

To not admit that there are many things about which the human race remains ignorant is...well...ignorant. And then try to shut down others free expression by unkind comments is...well...I guess my Mum always taught me that if you haven't got anything pleasant to say, don't say anything at all.

Thanks Icon, I love the way you think. Similar to The Truth Contest, in fact some of your thoughts could fit really well with that material if there is a way to submit them?

Certain things cannot be subjected to the scrutiny of science for complete answers. Love and relationships and emotions for example. But that doesn't stop us speculatively attempting romance and seeing what happens. Why then is it so harmful to speculate about something we cannot know for sure? It is part of being alive, and when you try to stamp out speculation about things that cannot be proven, you are trying to stamp out a part of our very being. I know an Org which likes to do that, and we escaped from it in part to enjoy freedom of thought and expression.

Live and let live ffs, why are some people so bent on being 'right'?

If there are things in Icon's past posts which have jerked people's chains, let it go, it's in the past. Let a person grow and develop even if it is not on your terms or timescale. Why not hold back the urge to comment on something until you have seen what fresh pairs of eyes think of it?

Just my 2 cents. I am probably wrong, but always being right is something I am working hard to let go of so that more harmony can be created with my fellow man.

If you were older and had any health issues you were not considered for appointment. Sorry Paul, that “thorn in the flesh” affliction means you are not qualified. And as for the Apostle John, too old we can’t afford to have you traveling around to the congregations, too much liability to the Corporations money situation.

The Overlapping Generations Model. Note the 's' on the word generation. If they overlap, it cannot be 1 generation but 2 at least. Common sense really, just thought it was interesting.

Are the R&F really buying this BS? Another GB inspired reinvention of a word that already has clearly defined meaning through common usage...

So even Davy's explanation of an overlapping generation would, in normal terminology be described as at least 2 but probably several generations. That is, the PLURAL of the word generation, not some stretchy, undefined time period! If this doesn't work, will they start focussing on all the nuances of meaning in the greek word 'this' to explain why 'this generation' could mean anything other than the commonly accepted meaning?

hi, my uncle made the first move by taking my mom, dad, grandma and grandpa(all in good jws in standing and non have put out anti-jw fliers or speech), that's who he is taking to court.

i have left the organization but than again, i was only a unbaptized publisher.

my grandma (whom i love so dearly was shocked to learn "i am not going to marry a pioneer and i don't want anything to do with any pro-jw females, i feel this religion is one of the most hateful religions mankind has seen).

I'm still rooting for you and thank you for keeping us up to date with what is going on. I hope like you that anyone reading your account of such shocking events will be woken up to see what this organisation truly is and leave it. Like you say, Mission Accomplished 😊 It certainly helps me want to stay right away fromthe bOrg and its hypocrisy.

And please don't feel apologetic for your style of writing, at least it is never boring! If I had seen so many terrible things and tried to write about them, the grammar might be perfect but it would be 30pages long and bore people to death! So although it is hard to understand exactly what has happened to who and when, your writing paints a clear picture of the turmoil you are experiencing as a result of the injustice and trauma that is being suffered.

I hope you are finding some relief by venting here, and look forward to hearing how things progress. May I ask, have you seen JWrecovery website? I find it very calming and supportive on there and wonder if the experiences of members there might benefit you too?

i have noticed that the jws are participating in meetings organized by the osce.

they are registered or participate under the "european association of jehovah's christian witnesses".

one point highlighted in this organization is tolerance.

Awesome to meet you on here my friend...it was while reading your book on WTdocs that my fate was sealed ☺I came out of your book officially A Fader, your way of writing helped me to see what I had been involved in for 2 decades and helped me to escape. So thank you, your story is deeply honoured in my heart as much as CoC. Your use of the word 'recruiting' for the mino jarred with me at first, but by the end I couldn't think of it as anything else. Brilliant book, I hope to get a copy for keeps when I have some dosh.
