  What it all boils down to...is the meaning of 'witness' . Is an accuser a witness? or is a witness something else?....

  "Now in case a soul sins in that he has heard public cursing and he is a witness or he has seen it or HAS COME TO KNOW OF IT, if he does not report it, then he must answer for his error." Ex. 5:1 (NWT)

  In Duet...if anyone from WBTS had bothered to continue reading...it goes on to talk about a one witness (they counted the accuser as a witness) accusation which then the older men of the city (actually it says hebrew priests) would have to thoroughly look into the matter as to who has truly been wronged. It says nowhere to IGNORE an issue because only one person said somebody did something to them.

  If a woman was dragged out into a field and raped. The Bible says that no one would have heard her screams....there was NO ONE around to come to her resue. She had NO WITNESSES. When they found the rapist....they PUT HIM TO DEATH....and she had no witnesses; but at least they had the damn sense to investigate what happened and take action.

  Okay? So your are saying, Mr Bean, "Shrub" is master-planning this entire escapade of financial ruin so that he can attack Iraq? Meanwhile he is yapping all over national news about having morality in big business?

  I figured it was all over when the noted family secured their oil fields (the alleged "evil one" had taken over) in Kuwait......He must be getting tired of paying blackmail money to those desert nations which know what that war was really all about.

  Considering how people in power hypocritically behave, scheme, and their behind the scenes interests....you may well be correct.

  Do Jws help disfellowshipped ones or apostates?

  do you think that, if say you fell over and and seriously injured yourself in the street, would a jw you knew passing by help you knowing that you were disfellowshipped or so called apostate.

  maybe even come to see you at home if you were unwell or depressed,i mean how many witnesses have assisted or helped you when you needed it mostly,you see i thought they were supposed to encourage you to become so called spiritually stronger.but saying that when you were active as a jw do you think you were helped in times of distress or illness by your fellow jw,for instance i know a woman who's still a witness but hasnt been to meetings for say a year and thats because she has severe athritis and guess what only 1 j-dub has wrote to her so to her it seems like if your not a regular at meeting you may as well be classed as disfellowshipped.

  ....ah, maybe that's why only being in a "spiritual paradise" is emphasized....the physical, mental, and emotional are not even a concern...think I'm starting to get it now.

  How does one define "spiritual" without the others?

  Did I do something to get ignored?....

  Very close to Harm, excuse..."Charm City" the place where you too could become a chalked outline who went out in a blaze of glory glistening near the moonlit background of Ft. McHenry; whereupon Francis Scott sat as he wrote the words to our National Anthem while a certain Armada (no offense meant to our brit friends) was being blown out of the waters of our fine Cheasapeke Bay for disturbing the crab mating ritural.....(we had to save the crabs!!)

  Home to Domino Sugar, Jeppe Nut Inc., the HQTS of the Social Security Administration, world famous John Hopkins Hospital (BTW, located in the middle of the worst ghetto known to man...plenty of research subjects tho), Preakeness, Edgar Allen Poe, National Beau Beer, famous McCormicks "Old Bay" seasoned steamed Crabs (that will burn the skin off your lips, make your eyes water and nose run...but ooh soooo good!) only to be found correctly made on Crab Row, and last but not least home of the "Espantoon"; Baltimore (City) Police nightstick. .... Oh, on the outskirts the US Naval Academy.

  Maryland you are; beautiful you are, Maryland you're taking my breath and stealing my heart away!!

  Nope. I would think not.

  I caught neumonia during pioneer school and was bed ridden for two weeks. During those two weeks one sister (along with her daughter) from my congregation came to visit....and that was someone whom I would have never guessed would stop by. (there are some good folks in there)

  I recieved absolutely no phone calls from any of the brothers, not even my own BSC/BSO.

  The injured party could thereafter decide whether legal action should be taken in an attempt to force the guilty one, now disfellowshiped, to rectify matters.

  Since when have courts asked for a person's religion?....wait til disfellowshipped?....the whole process could take months! ...

  Jehovah God has permitted secular authority to serve as his instrument in bringing lawbreakers to justice, and in this case the one wronged would be availing himself of legal help after exhausting the intracongregational means to have the wrong corrected.Rom. 13:3, 4.

  The scripture is true...."after exausting the intercongregational means" ....<----- I don't see that part anywhere in the noted scripture.

  woe to those who are enacting harmful regulations and those who, constantly writing, have written out sheer trouble, 2 in order to push away the lowly ones from a legal case and to wrest away justice from the afflicted ones of my people
