  i re-read it after someone posted to it and brought it back on active topics and it was kind of prophetic in a way ... well, i had the 5 years part right if nothing else:.

  it would be nice to visit the site (or whatever one is around then) in 5 years time to let people know how we're doing and find only a few of the same people still around.

  my dad used this one alot: it compared raising a child to holding a spring.

  if you let go too soon the spring will fly off in an uncontrolled direction.

  if you hold it too long you will wear your hand out and the spring will be no good.

  other bethelites, will go to near their original congregations with special piooner priviledge..., to receive suppor from their families and friends.

  Real Reasons Some Go to Bethel

  i've known known a lot of bethelites and it never ceased to amaze me when asked why they wanted to go there the kind of answers i got.

  some included:.

  my mom used to have dinner ready for me every night when when i was pioneering before i got married.

  I always got the impression they were a bit effeminate, not gay though. Maybe they were so skinny & frail from a lack of food.

  As for the topic, some couldn't take having to work low paying jobs (due to education) and having to support themselves ... so they went to Bethel.

  WHERE in the bible does it say each creative day was 6,000 years? Ending around 1975??

  could be 8,000 or 18,000 years long......if to jehovah each "a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years a day.

  " 1975 armagedon theory was based on this.

  {notice how this theory has since died off} my wife was told off by an elder for giving a talk on "creative days not 24 hours" but not stating each was 6,000 years long...she said she didn't believe it....he backed off and said okay then!

  every now and then i come across comical references to smurfs in posts on this site, i have been in the org all my life and never heard of any demonisation of father abraham's little blue imaginary friends, even when they they hit the uk top ten singles chart.

  can someone enlighten me of what was said, where and when?

  maybe i missed it because i was more concerned about kiss using an ouija board in plane or axel rose being anagram of oral sex!!!

  all the celebrities are there, brittney spears, and hubby stealer angelina jolie {brad pitt} compared to witness paradise this sounds like fun!.
