Where oh where is the proof the GB has been "authorized" by anyone to do anything? Poor elder lady :-(

by Nevuela injust a little something my "anointed" roommate posted on facebook a few months ago, along with replies from her fellow jws.
it was chilling to read, so i took a screenshot and saved it for future reference.

Why ex-JW's so knowledgeable when it comes to the Bible?
by James Mixon inover the years here on this site i have found over half of the folks can hold their own with any minister.. why when we leave the borg we become proficient on any subject on the bible.. why did we go down that road?
my intention was to get close to jehovah (searching the bible), but i. guess i found lucifer.
i'am ask all the time, how did you go from a true believer to calling the bible a book.

Because once people beat feet they do something they never did as a JW, read the Bible (in context) by itself.

For JWs..Jesus, The Way, The Truth, The LIfe.
by somebody in· for what reasons does jesus have the formerly demonized man tell others about what jesus did?.
but jesus tells the man: “go home to your relatives, and report to them all the things jehovah has done for you and the mercy he has shown you.”—mark 5:19.. .
(mark 5:18-20) .

The Greek word used in Mark is "kurios" or Lord.
The Greek word used in Luke is "theos" or God.

Just realized they changed maybe the most important scripture in the bible.
by Crazyguy ini just read the scripture then went and checked in thier older bible and it read the same so i check the greek interlinear and yes they changed john 3:16 .
the verse reads "all who believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life" the cult version says "exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life".. so not only do they say one must exercise faith meaning having to work for it but also they changed should not perish but having everlasting life to might not be destroyed again making a caveat where one does not exist.
just to add to the point verse 18 in both bibles says the one having faith is not judged, totally blowing up thier version of 16 but of course they change 18 to say exercising faith too but it makes little difference, since it says not judged.

Actually that was James not Paul. If you read it, you'll see he's talking about ones faith leading them to do good deeds towards others, like Christ. By his good deeds you can assess his faith.
He said prior that if you see someone without food or clothing and bid them good day without helping them out, your faith is dead. Do you give preference to rich over poor? He was talking about really helping others and not showing partiality. The ancient way of saying, "Talk is cheap".
JWs use that quote but it's out of context to the point of what's being said in the chapter.
I think the biggest problem is JWs don't know that "works" means actual deeds/actions shown towards others ... it's not job 'work', its not handing out literature.

It's official - the G.B. has replaced the Holy Spirit!
by The Searcher inthe watchtower november 2016, page 16, par.
"some may feel that they can interpret the bible on their own.
however, jesus has appointed the ‘faithful slave’ to be the only* channel for dispensing spiritual food.

Odd I thought the Bible was God's "channel" of communication. Those fellows in NY can't even get Biblical stuff right. So they are errant spirit mediums now?
And what's so hard to interpret? The only thing confusing JWs is WTBTS bullcrap dates and doom n gloom nonsense coming from a desperate uneducated headquarters full of Matrix machines afraid of losing their human batteries.

Things I remember growing up in the 70s
by The Rebel ini remember sitting on my daddy's lap and driving an imaginary car, i also remember sitting on my mummies lap on the front seat, without a seat belt whilst my dad drove a real car.
i remember we bought fish and chips from the chippy wrapped in yesterday's newspapers.
i remember bouncing up and down on my space hopper in the garden.

The 70's? I remember fishing next to crocodiles. If you don't bother them, they don't bother you. Lol!!! Snapping turtles will steal your bait though.
I remember climbing trees, jumping off the top of car ports, playing in the rain forest, big wheels, Atari and Pong Sports, pac man, frogger, whiffle ball, recess, kick ball. No safety pads. They didn't exist.
Michael Jackson's Off the Wall album, JW missionaries, and having more tropical critters running around my parent's house than a little bit. Baby chickens I'd get from some fair for .25 cents and put in my pocket, iguanas, and hermit crabs running around my parents living room. (My father a non JW never said a thing, just looked at me like he's trying to figure out who's DNA I got, his moms, maybe?) Parakeets inside my window sill ....
I also remember eating so many knocked down mangoes that I had to be taken to the hospital. Singing Led Zeppelin's,"The Wall", on the bus ride to school ... and much much more.
The 70 s were fun.

JWs can't accept "truth". They can't accept "faith" either. That's why they have more written and unwritten rules than the Mosaic Law. They can't accept what Jesus himself said because they aren't allowed to. They're enslaved to NY crazies.
The truth for Bible believers (Christians anyway) is that there is one God, one mediator, one faith, one baptism, and one hope.
JWs have 2 baptisms, 2 hopes, 2 mediators, and no faith in Jesus Christ's name. 2 faiths. One faith for the "anointed", the other faith is for their piss poor interpretation of the 'other sheep'.
I just told my JW relative that the other sheep means the Gentiles, it's in Isaiah .... silence.

Are they either leaving or going full on 'cult mode'? No quarter.
by punkofnice init might just be me imagining things.. i hear things from my jw spies.. from all that's being said, it seems to me that the rank and file(tm), are either waking up to the scam and fading/leaving.
they are going full on 'cult mode' and acting like 'spiritual police'.. is it just me and my imagination?
have others noticed this?.

You'd figure with the latest crazy talk, a lot of members are not going to be able to give the GB what they covet so badly; loyalty. It doesn't belong to them anyway like so many other things they demand be attributed to themselves.
Plus that overlapping generation thingy is just plain dumb. They want to redefine themselves into Kings on Earth but can't with all those old timers hanging around that know about the date, policy, and doctrine switching of the past 50 yrs. These are the ones that "fade" ... they know too much and gotta be bumped off.

What were the Bible Students expecting in 1914, after all?
by EdenOne inskimming through old watch towers, i encountered this statements on the 1914 january 1st edition of the watch tower (vol.
xxxv, p.5373), in the article "views from the watchtower":.
"so far as our judgement goes, the year 1914 is the last of what the bible terms "gentile times" [...] the end of their "times" marks the date for the beginning of messias' kingdom, which the bible declares is to be ushered in with a great time of trouble, just such as we see impending.

Russell wrote a sixty something page pamphlet on Christ's invisible return and it was set in the 1800s, not 1914.
