Ran into not One, not Two, but THREE elders at the same time!

so i'm out doing some shopping at the supermarket and as i'm walking to the checkout, i see my so and his wife (in full fs attire) talking to someone just past the checkout registers.

i am looking for the furthest checkout at this point making sure not to be noticed by the so or his wife.

well, just my freakin luck, there is only one checkout open.

maybe this is a different thread subject but it makes me think . why are we scurrying around them :

1. we know the truth about the truth

2. we have proof

3. we have full control of ourselves minds bodies brains eyes etc.

4. we out number them real christians and atheist and agnostics unite!

5. we now fit in better in mainstream society.

6. we have freedom and the contitution behind us and the bill of rights i often remind my brothers they cant make me believe anything i dont want to because i am an american citizen and well over 18 and 21 (36) sounds childish i say tho sometimes you do like it call the cops take me to court lets see what happens!

7. that should be enough to cover it if not someone else will fill me in

i understand too i might avoid them to a degree but i've practiced my speeches a million times letme at'em ! that being said ya its none of their effin bussiness if it leans to the right or left. it your life. i have an ability to be nice and avoid a scene but a switch will flip in my head if someone tries to tell me how white my shorts should be and i will give them a piece . but i do know the feeling

WARNING for active JW's

as you may have heard if you attended recently, social networking is of the devil and many have been 'lead astray' by website supposedly set up for jw.

whatever, you heard it before about rock, hard rock, hip hop, rap, gangsta rap, tv, werewolves .... anyway you may have heard of the recent elder school where basically there were the proverbial tongue lashings about not having social networking sites.

here is the skinny on recent developments:.

and another point is that its just writing a vivid version of a letter to more friends at once . meaning whether its a pen and pad or a phone a walki-talki its just a communication device but faster. i mean those kids could of called each other too to sinc up stories. side note jw kids always think of wierd ways to rebel. i mean i tried stuff but i didnt need 50 dumdies to watch me do it and hold my hand on an sn site i guess they kinda deserved some of it lol and a way to send pictures to family and friends with out having to worry about snail mail and its 2 way and instant its just stupid the way they are afraid of paper tiger meanwhile . . . . fill in the blank.

i've seen a few threads/posts where some of y'all have heard from jw contacts and how they've stepped up their 'the end is close' rhetoric because of the earthquake/tsunami in japan.

i usually take those things with a grain of salt.

there's always some jw whose cheese has slipped that reads prophecy into every little thing that happens.

yes and look at all the crap that happen in the real great deppression and wwi & wwii i mean this is nothing ladies and gents. its just we are global now like never before. i hate death and destruction as much as the next guy. but i agree with gayle btw i live in az too i think their's a lot of az'ers here and nm'ers i kinda run between both. hoorah! very good thread.

jehovahs witnesses giving a "bad witness "

i was talking to a workmate yesterday about my jw experiance and my daughters abuse , she told me that she works as a counsellor and had been discussing jws with a colleage , this person had given counselling to a jw woman who was a victim of domestic violence by her jw husband , the elders had done nothing to help the woman and simply told her to stop moaning about it !

the counseller was disgusted that in this day and age women are still treated like that !

the jw lady eventually left her husband , took the children with her and got disfellowshipped !!!!

to 3mygod. hey i definitely agree with everything said here , and i dont want to appear to defend the jws at all, but swinging wow really? i know they did a lot of hipocritical things but i mostly saw or got the idea that they just did as much as they could get away with. or maybe your right and that makes me even more right for leaving meaning maybe my mind doesnt go there or look fior that in poeple so thats why i didnt notice but that means im also honest and clean and a good person which i was alway accused of the opposite you know what i mean.

one sister told me that the change in the number of meeting days from three days to two days is because of a shortage of funds needed to pay for utilities.

in this economy and the waning of finances the kingdom hall attendees can look forward to meeting once a week in the future.. .

should publishers and pioneers feel obligated to contribute to the societys worldwide work each time they obtain literature for field service at the kingdom hall?.

so do the brothers also have to balance out moneys for the literature order too. that would make sense but i dont know for sure outlaw eluded to that? if so then you know they are getting double paid

i made a quick observation a month ago to my son's maternal great grandma & great great grandma. it was very similar but shorter . we were watching a movie abouta jewish kid and an irish catholic boy that were best friends and i simply pointed out the prejudices they held of each other mainly the catholic father but both families not the 2 boys they didnt care just wanted to play; was exactly like the witnesses. she tried to refute it and i gave a quick example of how they think their right and everyone else is gonna die is no different then the dad thinking if your not a catholic you going to hell. she stopped in her tracts fought back her tears and went to her room. the older gr gr grandma doesnt try to convert me the( convert back that is)we just focus on spoiling my son. i try to spoil her too cuz she loves my son so much and i really love the other grandma too just had to point that out.oh ya its sunday and i might not do anything today! yay me!

I committed un-suicide yesterday

yesterday i opened my wallet and took a long look at the (no) blood card prominently displayed inside.

i have been convinced that this is not the truth for a couple of years now, and am trying to figure out whether to fade or da.

it hit me hard yesterday that with this piece of paper in my wallet, i could possibly end up dying for beliefs i no longer hold.

for the last few years i havent got one funny thing is ive technically only stopped going a year or so ago and finally iadmitted its fraud the last few months it seems subcontiously i must have known long ago
