I'm not superficial. Body type is not what attracts me to a man. He must be humorous, a good listener, kind, non alcoholic (been there, done that. Didn't like it), and if he turns out to be a narcissistic, pompous ass like the last man I dated. He's history!

this may seem trivial to some that do not agree with the us going after the taliban by bombing afghanastan, but i had to make a comment.. i watched the news the other day and saw for the first time, women and girls in afghanastan outside, and many showing their facs and smiling.
there are a few that have been able to return to work after 5 long years.
kids are now allowed to fly kites again, and you could hear music playing.. these are things that i, and many others i am sure, have taken for granted since we are so free in this country.
I agree, I was on my way home from work when they spoke about this on the radio. I was smiling. I felt happy for them. Freedom!1

this is sort of a continuation of threads on dubs and how they are conditioned to discipline their children.
someone questioned whether the society actually encouraged dubs to whup their children.
i only had enough time to dig up a few salient quotes from the wt magazine.

I sure do remember having that verse shoved in my face. I admit I have spanked my children in the past but surley not for things such as making noise in the KH, which I was told I should have done. They had to have done something major for a spanking, and then certianly not with a wooden spoon as suggested by one Elder in my Hall. Now I find they do not need spankings but just a good talking to and grounding if nessecery.

The Bible is surely correct when it states that people judge the outward appearence, while God looks at a persons heart.
Everyone, if you would get to know people for who they are and not what sex they prefer I assure you that you will find some good friends. This is said for a persons color also. Become as the blind and you will not see color but the person. To many people miss out on some wonderful friendships because of prejudice.
