  I read all of C of C, but have yet to read the second half of IN Search Of Christian Freedom. I think it's time I look for that book and finish it. I have it somewhere.

  ThiChi, if there is more, and there is a God. He will show us, but I Seriously doubt that he can be found in any religion. Religions were made up by men who wanted to put fear in people and make millions off of that fear.

  ThiChi, I want to believe in a God, but the more I think about it, the more I believe it was just a group of people that came up with the idea of having a God in order to make other people follow rules which they wanted followed.

  Questions for Those in an Alcoholic Relationship

  these questions are aimed at non-alcoholic ex-jw's who have survived or left an alcoholic relationship.. given that the bible says god hates a divorcing, to what extent did religious beliefs keep you in the alcoholic relationship?.

  to what extent did peer pressure from the congregation keep you in the relationship?.

  what made you decide to leave the alcoholic relationship when you did?.

  What ever happened to “for better or for worse?” I hope one would get help first................

  The alcoholic has to want help first. No one can force them to seek help. I know this for a fact as I too have been in an alcoholic relationship. When you continue to stay, you are in fact saying it is ok for them to continue drinking.

  i'm not going to be able to mention everyone on this post, for many reasons, but i'd just like to mention a few folks who made my journey so much more comfortable.. thanks for all the many deep posts about the validity of the bible, the theory of evolution, scientific facts, etc.

  you have to be one of the most interesting people of the world, folks.

  sure, we had some fights, some name-calling.
