Yes I would have to say we all are mortal, I have been reading on the website near-death.com and have read some very interesting things and alot of the experiences have certain things that are very consistant for example someone during surgery feeling they are out of body all of a sudden and then knowing everything the doctors are saying, etc........................................

Lets say a bible character was reserrected, I did calculations how long it would take to meet one billion people......................................
by andys incould you imagine the chaos, everyone wanting to meet a ressercected bible character, i did some calculations today and this is very interesting what i came up with, lets say there was only 1 billion people on the earth at the time of a bible characters reserrection, i did the math on how long it would take for just one billion people to meet a bible character, if the bible character was meeting people every second for 24 hours a day that would be about 31.7 years to meet one billion people............................................

How old were you when...

I was raised in the borg, was baptized at 13 yrs old, this year 33 yrs old is when I started to do research, there was things along the way that happened in a years time that started to disengage me from the truth of the truth, last summer I was still living with my parents, my dad would tell me that he was going to force me to go to meetings, I thought something is not quite right, then when i moved out of the house in November I was doing my laundry at the laundermat and my sister and mother see my vehicle parked at the laundermat, they come into the laundermat and tell me that I am going to die at armededon since I was not going to meetings or service, when my sister and mother were using the terms I was going to die i could see in the corner of my eye people looking at my sister and mother like they were crazy, that disengaged me further, then in Febuarary 2011 I did research, read the book Crisis of Conscience and just into 80 pages of the book is when the whole deck of cards came crashing down all at once and now today I am alot more happier, the most happiest I ever been, for any of the JW's on here reading about all our experiences all I can say is once you get to the other side mentally its 100 times better:)

at the end of the morning, the two witnesses were about to stop their preaching work, but the child was unusually eager to go to the next home.
in fact, he went by himself and knocked on the door!

This sounds like the very same story I have heard when i used to go to the fundlemental baptist chuch for a short time, the pastor would talk about how he come to a door and a lady would have her bible open trying to figure out how to go to heaven................................

I have 2 jobs, my main job is at a very large hospital working in Enviromental Services(another term for a professional janitor) and on the side I own a very small business, I help small businesses on their websites, I know HTML blindfolded, I use microsoft expression, also I know alot about E-commerce for small businesses, the website design has slowed down but every once and awhile will get a call from someone needing a website either designed or maintained.

When i was 18 yrs old and graduated from high school I took an ASVAB test, the navy wanted me at the time because I aced the electronics part of the test, I told them that I was a concience objector, I wish I would have known the truth of the truth when graduating from high school I would have gone off in the navy but now at 33 yrs old am stuck in a janitorial job.

What keeps you going after your exit from the Watchtower Society?
by Awen ini am curious as to what you first did when you left the watchtower society's mind control cult.. did you try to find friends who had gotten out also?
did you go to school (college/university)?.
how different was the "world" you now found yourself in compared to living in jw-land?.

One thing that keeps me going and this really takes all my anxiety/stress away is I love to be out on a dance floor thats playing fast music, I'll be out on the dance floor girls all around me dancing the night away at a certain bar where I live, dancing/music is one of the things I love doing and I am all amped up on red bulls, I don't like alchohol but red bulls and dancing the night away which I just got home from doing and had a blast tonight:)

The Real Issues Facing former Jehovah's Witnesses

esp from (thinking for) themselves.. however, the real dillema's facing an ex jw who leaves, whether on their own terms or being disfellowshipped are real and haven't changed.. .
lonliness, how to make friends, is a big issue.. fear, esp fear based on superstition, a fear of god and of the future that is not in any way based in proveable fact.. education, how to think and reason critically to avoid being taken advantage of is a big challenge.. love, sex, and how to navigate your way around all of that hot mess.. geez, yeah, forgot.

I want to thank all the help that I have gotten off of here, it took me about 6 months to come out of the fog, now that I am out of the clear, my mind is all clear I want to send my thanks to all you people on here, also the people before, now that my mind is all clear I want to put my voice out there that since I have all the watchtower totally cleared out of my mind alot of people at work tell me they see a positive difference, they tell me I have changed ina very good way, I have found my identitily who I am, I want to say to all the newbies once you get your mind all cleared of Watchtower and are on the other side, life is alot more better, even though I have been shunned by my parents, 2 brothers and sister I have been able to deal with that very well, its so nice to have a board to run to for support
