Also I want to say this to irondork or any gay person on here, even though I am straight, the watchtower society has it so wrong on so many levels of sexualtiy, be it if your are Lesbian, Bi, Gay, or Transgender, they make a person feel so guilty about if they are different or think differently on things, the reason I say that is because my most favorite bar to go to is a gay/straight nightclub in the town where i live, the reason I love going to that bar is because everyone in there is non judgemental, also I love to dance, its almost as if I am addicted to dancing, also since I go to mostly a gay/straight bar I have seen a whole different perspective of Lesbian, Bi, Gay, and Transgender, its a totally different perspective of what the Watchtower teaches and puts a spin to.

I am now 34 yrs old but when I was 28 yrs old was the first time and yes I can say for me the Watchtower Society has messed me up, at the time I felt guilty that I was doing something wrong but now all those feelings of guilt are gone and if I get lucky which happens sometimes I don't feel guilty no more about sexuality.

What Made You Question "The Truth"?
by minimus inin the the early 1970's, i used to enjoy going to assemblies, conventions and hear special talks given by bethel heavies.. in those days, we were believers and we applied ourselves as "ministers" with pride.. once the "end" was obviously not within our "generation", many of us started losing interest.. we started to think more critically.
it took a long time but once you start recognizing the bullsh*t, it's hard to stay in and truly believe at the same time.. .

I moved to Montana to start all over again at the time I was living with my paernts they were helping me get back on my feet about 3 months after getting reinstated I started to go into a freefall as far as meetings, service, then one day my dad told me that he was going to force me to go to the kingdom hall, that was the first time I started to question things, I realize now that was a blessing in disquise, a few months after my dad telling me that he was going to force me to go to the kingdom hall I moved out of their house and started to do research on the borg and thats where my whole deck of cards fell and now am more happier then ever and want to focus on helping other people out of the borg.

There Are Many New Ones Here. Has JWN Helped You?
by minimus ini think simon green's site has helped more people than he ever would have imagined!
do you agree??
?.

Yes JWN has helped me out alot, right now I don't really have much people/close friends who I am able to associate with, I understand in alot of ways I am lacking in social skills but am learning, its so nice to come on here and talk to people who understand and going through the same thing, I do go through my moments, espically the shunning that my parents/immediate family put me through, besides JWN I will fill my time with hobbies, also another thing I have found out that I am really good at and love to do so much that I have a passion for, on a saturday night I go to a night club where I live and love to dance, alot of girls tell me I am an awesome dancer on the dance floor, I have a passion for that and hip hop music, even though I am 34 years old really I am just a kid at heart in my 20's I would guess.
Overall everyone here is just like family, its so nice that if I have a bad day to come on here and vent but overall since I am a positive person I want to try to stay positive and spread that to other people on here, help other people and even on the dance floor I do the same just be very positive.

I agree with band on the run, the shunning that goes on in the organization, I am experiencing that right now and I do have my down moments, this weekend was hard my sister told me at work that my brother and his wife were going to visit here in Montana, also I am an uncle but all weekend I never got a call to meet up also one other time at work my sister took me in the corner and told me "Andy you know what you should be doing" and I walked away I was being guilt tripped right there at work then again this weekend was guilt tripped again, the shunning/guilt tripping that they do hurts, also on Friday the 5th I will have my candle lit for Oompa, am in on the 5th.

What happens if the lights go out during a meeting?
by WTWizard inwe all know of those kingdumb hells that don't have windows.
and i never saw an a$$embly hell that had windows that would let light in that would reach the auditorium.
so, what do they do if the lights go out during the middle of a boasting session?.

A lunchtime spotting of JWs on their break from door-knocking...
by Jim_TX innot that big of a deal, but it is kind of humorous.... my wife and i went to a local mcdonald's for lunch.
yes, i know all the bad things that are in their foods... but it's difficult to find lunch places that are 'healthy' and low-cost.. anyway, she went and sat down, and i ordered the food.
as i came round the corner with the tray filled with burger, fries and the cups for our sodas, i spotted a group of four women sitting at one of the tables.. folks... i just want to make one thing very clear.
