so i ran into this brother whom ive known for a while and the conversation led into me being invited to come back to the kingdom hall.

we talked for about an hour during which time i explained to him 607 being the wrong date and a lot of other stuff including the child abuse cases in australia.

but what i wanted to relate was the last few minutes of our conversation.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The real zombies are so desperate in their need for salvation and an after life, any suggestion that death of as the final outcome is terrifying. They would rather hang on to an illusion and lie to their children (depriving their kids of a chance at a full, meaningful life) than admitt that like all things on this planet - even mountains - they will succumb to time. The mentality of clinging to a lie is almost impossible for the most enquiring mind to comprehend.

By the way, the fact that their cult is based on a foundation of lies means they aren't offering anything either other than lies. And they want to go door to door and lie about a false hope and deprive others of a shot at a fulfilling life.

Forget them, let them waste the only life they have in favor of the belief they'll get an eternal pass to Disneyland. I would rather spend my time helping those seeking reality and warning those not in the Org yet not to fall for their sadisctic jargon.

When left the Org in the 80's, South Africa was still very much under the heel of apartheid. Political organizations such as the African National Congress (Nelson Mandela's political party) who were representing the oppressed black population, were outlawed as terrorist organizations. Havimg being raised with Zulus and Xhosas I abhorred racism and racial injustice and would often passionately engage in anti-apartheid discussions. I had one such discussion with a JW ( now Df'd) and let my hatred for the apartheid government be known. Some time later I learned via the grape vine that I was apparently associating with terrorists and the rumor had gone so far as to suggest I had even harbored insurgents from a training camp in Mozambique. This may not seem like much, but had I not been in the military at the time these rumors may well have ended with me being detained by the authorities.

Dont let anyone fool you that all Org zombies have your best interests at heart.

Morals are a personal decision. You can have the best parental and social guidance possible but unless one chooses to exercise self discipline and live by those morals chosen, all the guidance in the world amounts to naught. Parenting and social structures can be coercive or enforce the accepted morals of a society but in the end it is up to the individual to live by those morals.

Morals are also extremely subjective since they vary so greatly between cultures, countries (politics) and respective beliefs. Because one may not agree with someone else's morals it does not necessarily make them immoral. When people decide to impose their morals on others they end up treading a fine line between impeding on legitimate freedom and creating a happy, moral society. It's no different to imposing religious or political beliefs on others.

This is why I go by a simple rule: as long as what I do in my life does not harm other creatures psychologically, physically or deny them their freedom, then I am not being immoral in any way, so I'll be damned if I'll let anyone else impose their moral views on me and harm me psychologically, physically or deny me my freedom to live my life within my own moral framework. Depriving others of their freedom based on one's own morals can in itself be immoral.

the writers argue that genetics, the environment, and sexual abuse do not justify homosexuality.

the bible clearly states that homosexuality is wrong and is an abhorrent sin.

Never understood how it's anyone's damn business who someone chooses to love. Good for you Tim and I wish you and your partner a long, happy and fulfilling life together.

On a side note: i believe gay couples are a boon to humanity. They are less likely to add to our already over populated planet, adopt unwanted children and shower them with love and furnish them with a stable home and the promise of a future that many heterosexual parents are unable to do or couldn't bother with. This is something civilization is in dire need of.

i think that a person that is called before a judicial committee can use a recording of the trial and force the elder to view it because of jackson's statement to the commission and get off.

i think mr jackson has said enough about people who wish to leave the witnesses as not being harassed, hunted down, or spied upon and such to get the elder off your back and give them a "good witness".. also to be highlighted is the fact that jackson has stated under oath that the governing body is willing to reexamine doctrine and policy in order to conform to the law,.

i think many statements by gb jackson to the commission can be used by some one clever and thus escape the label of apostate and be unhindered to a large extent of speaking to others.. .

according to j.w.`s the 144000 are a literal number of people , both men and women taken from the earth to rule with christ jesus in the heavens .this would also include judging in this role.

women in the religion of j.w.`s have no place in leadership roles ,cannot be elders , ministerial servants , or serve in any position of authority , and have no teaching voice in any congregation .. yet faithful anointed women can , upon their death rule with christ jesus in heaven for 1000 years according to j.w.
