  give them fake names and just see how my fiance reacts.

  he's been curious about seeing what i hated so much about the whole thing (not that he'll really understand everything, i mean of course he never will to my extent but)... i'd like to see what an outsiders view on the whole thing would be as well.

  Obviously I won't pretend to have a solution because as yet I doubt anyone has a practical one. I will say that I do not think we can help most of these countries with food and material aid because warlords, organized crime and poor administration would deny those resources reaching their intended demographic, I've seen it first hand just as most of us have seen it or read about it in the news or elsewhere. The people in those countries need to first do whatever they can to stabilize their own countries to the point where investors can feel safe investing in them. Job security then influences the standard of living and so forth. But helping them with charity in my opinion is not the answer.

  i was purchasing zac brown tickets for my wife and i. she's a big fan so i'm trying to treat her.

  she's not really a country fan, but she some how in her eclectic taste took a liking to the band after listening to a live album.

  i saw he is doing a show in london.

  Mymwife and Imwent to Zac Brown at Bethel Woods last year. Just so you know, they don't only play country at their concerts. They do some amazing rock/metal covers. Their Metallica "Enter Sandman" blew the audience away.

  Xanthippe I agree with what you say for the most part. But a comfortable life definitely does not guarantee a break from ideology. Among the best of modern society destructive idelogies still flourish, that is clearly evident. Saudi Arabi is a wealthy country with an amazing social infrastructure yet it is the world stronghold for wahhabism. In France Muslims riot over a cartoon and still committ murder in the name of Allah, in the US Christian nut jobs bomb abortion clinics. If we were simply talking about crime or humans harmimg each other for the sake of survival, that would be a different matter entirely.

  God has nothing to do,with their plight because there isn't one. They are victims of many processes, including human history. All,too,often we create oir own circumstances and want to shift blame but in the end only we can change those circumstances.

  Nicely done Terry. I actually read and researched the whole falling man story and it hit me incredibly hard. The whole 911 thing still disturbs many of us and my NYC wife jumped with fear in her face for years every time a plane flew low over us, she had PTSD but thankfully it has faded for the most part.

  One of the women captured in picture forever was profiled in the Falling Man documentary and she reminded me of my wife. It disturbed so deeply considering how that poor lady in her kahki pants and white shirt could have been my wife, it changed how I saw her day-to-day life forever. Since I am convinced there will be another attack at some point, she has a full mil-spec survival bag with everything from rations to portable NBC suit in it at her office in downtown Manhattan. I am determined that she has the best odds in her favor for survival so she will not be that woman in the Falling Man documentary. I could not imagine my life without her, I need her here with me.
