Thought control - sexual fantasizing is wrong - May 2016 Watchtower
by Listener in>>the bible reveals that jehovah issaddened when people pursue a wick-ed course and ‘the inclination of theirthoughts is only bad all the time.’ (readgenesis 6:5, 6.
) from this we can per-ceive that sexual fantasizing is wrongbecause it can lead to serious sin that isforbidden in the scriptures and is out ofharmony with jehovah’s way of think-ing.the disciple james wrote: “the wis-dom from above is first of all pure, thenpeaceable, reasonable, ready to obey, full of mercy and good fruits, impar-tial, not hypocritical.” (jas.
3:17) beingaware of this, we should be moved toreject entertainment that fuels impurethoughts and inclinations.

I bet the only sex Lett has is in a fantasy with his hand. Then again I wouldn't be surprised if his hand even rejects him. -

The generation of big hair, lousy fashion sense, rock gods who put on more make up than ladies, awful MTV videos which looked like grammar school projects, a slew of awful horror movies, the end of the Soviet Union and a US president who starred alongside a chimp in the incredibly crappy "Bedtime for Bonzo".
BUT .... the ladies were gorgeous!

Has anyone seen "The Prodigal Son Returns" on JW.TV? A Masterpiece of indoctrination
by truthseeker ini'm watching the jw movie the prodigal son returns.. it is a masterpiece of indoctination and what i would call a "cult" classic.. it's about two brothers who work for their father's construction firm.
the older one is the most spiritual and the younger one isn't.
he befriends al, a weak brother, who persuades him to take a job in the city and move there.. it shows the "world" in the worst possible light.

It's a general fallacy that family can be trusted and relied upon. Family are capable of burning you down just as fast and easily as a malicious stranger and so are "friends". I may sound callous and pessimistic, but the sad truth is the only person in life you should rely on is yourself. At least if you mess up you only have to account for your actions in front of a mirror.
Good to see you're optimistic and doing well on your own two feet and leading the life you chose by true free will. Keep going and keep positive, you owe it to yourself and no one else.

Evolution a Fact - Agreed but So What?
by LAWHFol inin many debates between believers and non believers (nb), the nb uses evolution as some sort of proof to support the non existence of god.. i agree that evolution is a fact, however i feel that evolution is proof of some sort of benevolent original cause.. if i were to create an a.i.
, i would program into it the ability to self-refactor and evolve.. i would also randomly inject viruses into the program (evil) where the a.i.
would be forced to stretch its current capabilities & modify it's operating functions in order to get through the random virus, and continue living.. with a steady flow of different viruses, the a.i.

For the sake of argument and beating one's head against the wall, I wish the world would agree to do away with the "theory of evolution" and simply refer to it as evolution, the same way we do not refer to gravity as the "theory of gravity" - thank goodness or we'd be arguing for the evidence of gravity too. -

Evidence of a10,000 y.o. massacre demonstrates that it is in our biology to be aggressive and lethal
by fulltimestudent inattention can be drawn to both the age of these skeletal remains and the conclusions that can be drawn.. .
skeletons dating to 10,000 years ago, bearing marks of a violent death and possibly bondage, provides fresh evidence that prehistoric hunter-gatherers did not necessarily live in bonhomie.
disturbingly, two of the 12 people found by lake turkana, kenya were not marked by signs of violence but seem to have died with their hands bound, a team of archaeologists reported in nature on wednesday.. we know prehistoric humans were armed to the teeth, but it's an open question against whom they wielded their stone knives and spears – animals, or each other.

Lol. Claiming that any cross section of historical humankind has been peaceful is a joke. The San and Khoi Bushmen were once regarded to be the most peaceful people on the planet until evidence was discovered that in the late 19th century they were responsible for wiping out an entire village of Ovambo people by poisoning their water well. Long before whitey showed up In the North West of North America the LaKota and Cheyenne had been at war for years. Before whitey showed up in Africa the Zulus had already brought about the complete annihilation of an estimated seventy-six tribes. Fighting for land and resources is not a modern phenomenon. -

Not upset in the least. Not a joke. Very good life. Perfect, no, but whose is?I feel my life is perfect, thank you very much. If you feel yours isn't and assume that everyone else's isn't either, perhaps ol' Jokehovah's blessings aren't working out so well for ya kid (I refer to all JW zombies as kids due to their childish and selfish beliefs). And if you haven't been to a meeting years, why jump on the merry bOrg wagon and wave its flag?

How do you feel about the expression "The Truth"?
by stuckinarut2 init's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".
"is he 'in the truth'?".
most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.

It's the one term that is able to incite enough violence in me that I would consider punching a Jehovah's Witless in the face when one utters it. -

Evolution is a Fact #7 - Human Egg Yolk Gene
by cofty inexploring the human genome is like roaming around an historic town.
some places are pristine and obviously still in everyday use.
others have been unused for a while and starting to show signs of decay and if you look carefully there are relics of buildings that were abandoned long ago.. in this post we are going to look at a gene that we still carry in every cell in our body but which fell into disuse 10s of millions of years ago.. humans are placental mammals.

Clambake:
What Cofty is doing is sharing his knowlege with those interested. I find it incredibly generous of him to put in the time and effort to do so. Perhaps you could put your efforts to derail his threads to better use by sharing your knowledge and teaching us something? I'm astounded as to why anyone would turn their nose up at a chance to learn something -anything- at the cost of nothing more than a few minutes of their time.
Thanks Cofty, really enjoying these lessons. Keep 'em coming sir!
