I'm ignorant with regards to a great many subjects in life and frankly, freely admit to being wrong far more often than being right and certainly never pretend to be right if I am aware That I would have to pull shit out of my ass to pretend I have something meaningful to contribute. It is for these precise reasons I admire anyone who can teach me anything, regardless of who they are or what the lesson is. There are many posters on this very forum for whom I hold the same admiration and express my gratitude for sharing their knowledge. I don't know anyone on this forum personally but compassion still inspires me to post my condolences should any ill fortune befall them, even if I don't like the person or disagree with them.

But if you are the sort that can't grasp the gratitude someone feels toward anyone who has taught you anythimg you might consider valuable, then IMO you have no true sense of value for shared knowledge.

I more than detest anyone of them that think shunning is "love" or defend the bOrg's position on sex abuse. Put it this way, I would never try save one in a life threatening situation, even if I knew there would be no risk to myself in doing so.

The generation of big hair, lousy fashion sense, rock gods who put on more make up than ladies, awful MTV videos which looked like grammar school projects, a slew of awful horror movies, the end of the Soviet Union and a US president who starred alongside a chimp in the incredibly crappy "Bedtime for Bonzo".

i'm watching the jw movie the prodigal son returns.. it is a masterpiece of indoctination and what i would call a "cult" classic.. it's about two brothers who work for their father's construction firm.

the older one is the most spiritual and the younger one isn't.

he befriends al, a weak brother, who persuades him to take a job in the city and move there.. it shows the "world" in the worst possible light.

It's a general fallacy that family can be trusted and relied upon. Family are capable of burning you down just as fast and easily as a malicious stranger and so are "friends". I may sound callous and pessimistic, but the sad truth is the only person in life you should rely on is yourself. At least if you mess up you only have to account for your actions in front of a mirror.

Good to see you're optimistic and doing well on your own two feet and leading the life you chose by true free will. Keep going and keep positive, you owe it to yourself and no one else.
