We are celebrating b-day tonight!
by StarTrekAngel innot that we have not done it before, but the event would come about out a mutual understanding.
never a word or any more than just "we are going out to dinner".
the news this time is that my wife, out of her own initiative, suggested this morning that we should go out and celebrate our daughters b-day.

Good for you. Beyond just being a celebration I think it's nice to let a kid know that their birth is regarded as a very special and important event in the lives of their parents and loved ones. -

Canadian branch getting rid of their trucks and drivers
by wannaexit ina recent letter to the elders outlined the new arrangement for delivering literature to the congregations.
the canadian branch will be downsizing by eliminating drivers and trucks and utilizing commercial carriers to bring the boxes of monthly literature .
more outsourcing and more lay offs.. the funny thing about it is that they want to have the literature delivered to various private homes of the rank and file rather than have the literature delivered to the kingdom hall.

So they would rather reveal the home address of a jw (and his family) rather than a building where no one lives?Good point! But they would probably argue the KH adress allows for the would-be persecuters to observe and detain everyone in the congregation with minimal resources and effort.

Africa for the Africans, Asia for the Asians, White Countries for Everyone!
by seahorse321 inasia for the asians, africa for the africans, white countries for everybody!.
everybody says there is this race problem.
everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries.. the netherlands and belgium are just as crowded as japan or taiwan, but nobody says japan or taiwan will solve this race problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.. everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to assimilate, i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.. what if i said there was this race problem and this race problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into every black country and only into black countries?.

I think I'll let my blood pressure drop before attempting to debate this one ... If I think it's even worth challenging this mentality. -

"We don't run a spy network"
by OrphanCrow inthe wts has been keeping case files on child sex abuse for over 60 years that we know of.

They don't run an official spy network but every Org zombie is only to happy to report apostate behavior because it protects their beloved WBTS, but not anything which could incriminate it. So perhaps a voluntary spy network which of course suits the Org perfectly - anything that is voluntary affords the Org plausible deniability. -

Did Geoffrey Jackson Commit Perjury, or Just "Spiritual Warfare"?
by The Searcher inmr. jackson was pressured by angus stewart to answer if the org condoned corporal punishment, to which he openly stated that the org does not condone corporal punishment for j.w.
children.
this "fact" has never been revealed in the org's literature, in fact, this article which was published under geoffrey jackson's supervision, by definition demonstrates the org's approval of corporal punishment for j.w.

OrphanCrow8 minutes agoAt 48:25 of Part One, Jackson made this statement "Even in ancient times God did not have in mind for children to be beaten up in a bad way."
First of all what is his or the Org's perception of "a bad way"? A slap on the butt? A belt? A fist? Perhaps a quick roundhouse to the jaw?
I seem to remember him saying the Org has never encouraged corporal punishment but also never said they didn't discourage it either. I need to read the manuscript, perhaps this weekend....

The Org is terrified of apostates
by SecretSlaveClass ini knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.
all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).
they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

All this over FS hours? Apostate sites are definitely affecting the Org in a profound way - they're shitting broken glass!

Take the Kingdom back to Mexico!
by John Aquila inif donald trump wins the presidency, about 90% of the jws in my area will have to go back to mexico.
the watchtower will be having a fire sale on kingdom halls.
if trump became president and he followed through on his policy of sending back undocumented immigrants, would that affect the jws publisher numbers big time in the united states?

John:
I love your topics. You certainly have a gift for making people examine with interest what would normally be regarded as mundane. Thoroughly enjoyed this thread and all the input. Thank you.

The Seacher:
The biggest drain on the Org's god (money!) are the costs of printingI may be wrong, but I'm seriously beginning to doubt that the Org's entire modus operandi is about accumulating money. Where are the profits? Who benefits and how? If it is, considering what seems to be their financial dire straits they have to be one of the world's worst organizations as far as financial management goes.

It depends on who you ask. A thinking person will not have the same answer as an Org zombie. In Australian law does that constitute perjury? If so they chose not to pursue it.
