i just got the new document about blood fractions from the wt, they will allow you to choose hemoglobin, but apparently not packed red blood cells, but in the medical journal i see nothing about hemoglobin infusions, is this even possible or just more bullshit from the wt?

this article was published by the wts on their website.. i find this jw practice of targeting vulnerable populations to be so disturbing.
the last thing that canadian aboriginal communities need is yet another institution that victimizes their members.. http://www.jw.org/en/news/releases/by-region/canada/inuit-bible-education-northern-canada/.
officials in remote northern canada thank jehovahs witnesses for special bible education campaign.
so i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

While I don't find the content of those links surprising in the least, I do find the statistics somewhat disconcerting.

Marmot:
I wasnt strictly referring to meat consumption in relation to population. I was referring to consumption in general. Still, if it worn't for our population explosion there would be no need for such a scale of mass production of meat, cars, housing, farming- you name it - anyway, but because suppliers don't want to be "short" on consumer demands they more often than not produce more than what is needed. And humans generally want more than what they actually need.

I completely agree, one child would be preferable but I can't forsee that anywhere globally in the near future. People still tend to think in terms of "If I can't see it or feel it then it may not actually be true", or their culture, bilogical drive or ideologies override the logical benefits of having fewer kids.
As far as restructuring goes I also completely agree. At least some of us see that as obvious. Right now we do our best to buy co-op or co-grow/share our veggies, fruit and herbs with our neighbors which as far as I'm concerned right now, is the best the wife and I can do until that restructuring revolution happens.

My wife and I are both hunters/fisherpeople and between our seasonal tags we get to fill our freezers every year with meat to last us almost 9 months. I only eat free range meat when not eating venison and even then red meat twice a week maximum. Most of my protein is from free range eggs.
Before I concern myself with what industrialized farming is doing, I would concern myself more with not breeding more than two kids per household (this is purely my opinion). Less population = fewer resource consumption, period. So my biggest contribution so far is a vasectomy. I think how much I saved this planet in resources by choosing NOT to have kids and although it's not enough, it certainly is more than than a dietary adjustment.
i took the most recent video on "obey" and edited it down to its core.
here tony explains that the decisions of the faithful slave are arrived at "collectively" but are not a "collection" of man made decisions.
it would be comical if it weren't so sad.. tony video.
i have very few active jw on my facebook, mainly the more liberal ones.
anyway a few of them have posted links or references to richard dawkins and other avowed atheists.
today a long time jw posted a link from the richard dawkins foundation blasting the celebration of easter as pagan.
in 1987 herbert benson, m.d., professor of medicine at harvard medical school foretold: a day will come, through meditation you can set the stage for important mind-and habit-altering brain change.
(your maximum mind, random house, new york) he gave the reasons: over the years you develop circuits and channels of thought in your brain.
these are physical pathways which control the way you think, the way you act, and often the way you feel.
the culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.
whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?
im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.
