My youngest daughter and her boyfriend went and saw it and they thought it was great. As was mentioned, she said the ending was not the same and left it open for a sequel. She loved it. My oldest said she will go see it even if it wasn't that good because of Tim Burton. LOL

MEDINA, Ohio -- Four people are dead and 48 others were injured in an explosion at the Medina County Fairgrounds Sunday.

Officials say that an antique steam engine on a tractor blew up without warning. Shrapnel was found up to 100 feet away from the blast site.
"It shook everything. I've never heard anything like it in my life," Medina resident Bill Remington said.
Officials say that the investigation will be complicated because the owners and operators of the equipment were killed in the blast. The owners, Cliff Kovacic, 46, and William Kovacic, 27, were killed, along with Alan Kimble, 46, and Dennis Jungbluth, 58. They were all Medina residents. (My husband knows the two 46 year olds.)
The injured include two police officers and several children. All of the injured were taken to six local hospitals -- Medina General, Akron's Children's Hospital, Akron City Hospital, Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, Lodi Community Hospital and Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center. Fifteen people were treated and released.
A mass casualty plan was activated at the fairgrounds Sunday. Crews and helicopters from as far away as Pittsburgh and Columbus came to help.
The victims suffered severe burns from the engine's hot oil and steam and cuts from flying debris.
The Medina County Fair will open at 9 a.m. The tractor was being set up for an exhibit at the fair when the explosion occurred.
Investigators say that it could take days or weeks before they know what happened. They are looking into a possible steam leak as the cause.
Sheriff Neil Hassinger says that no charges are expected to be filed in connection with the blast.
Last year, dozens of people came down with E.coli at the fair after drinking the water.

Don't know yet. I guess the morning news will tell us more. I will post what I know tomorrow if you'd like. I know that there were many children close to the engine when it blew so I imagine that many got hurt at least. My heart is sick over so many people so badly hurt. Burns are the worst sort of pain. Steam causes bad, bad burns, plus the flying metal and such. I know that they called help in from all over the place to get the injured out as quick as possible.

They took the most serious to the Cleveland Metro Burn Unit. My husband knows two of the men that got killed so this is hitting him pretty hard. He went to school with them. The two he knows were best friends with each other. There were a good many children around the steam engine when it exploded. The children always gather around the antigue engines. They sound so noisy when they start up and run and it just brings the kids running from all over. I am so sad for all those families that are going through this tonight. I just can't imagine...

How horrible! No, I have heard nothing about this. I guess the mundane news here is more noteworthy than this. I am surprised something this outrageous didn't make it into the international news. If it did, I missed it. I hope that the gunman get what he deserves. There is no excuse for that kind of vigilante behavior.

Wow! What an idea. An apostate "only" cruise yet! How does the cruise line advertise that? Can you see the ads in the newspapers and flyers put out? Booking our cruise in September to Hades, apostates only need apply? And how do they exclude people that aren't? How do you prove that you are apostate in order to book the cruise? Do they now carry "apostate cards", like JW blood cards? Never saw one, have any of you? Does a "mark" miraculously appear on our driver’s license? On our birth certificates? On our foreheads. How absurd can anyone get to think this, let alone gossip about it? This is way to funny!!!
What are the scheduled cruise activities? Since all apostates are converts to sin and evil after they leave, is Anton La Vey the activities director? The Satanic Rockette Dancers performing on deck B? The Sodom and Gomorrah Rock Band appearing (magically, of course) on the lower deck next to the Fire and Brimstone Smoking Lounge? How about a few hours in the Demons from Hell Masseuse Par lour? Singer Azazel crooning in the Jezebel Cafe'. And much, much more!
Just imagine the things that are on this cruise since all JWs leaving their "faith" are now deviates. How can a cruise that bad be legal? LOL!
A cruise for apostates only.... I am laughing my ass off. I haven't heard anything this funny since I ran into a JW who works in a store I frequent, and she told me she had heard that I was DFed!! This one though is much better!! Gossip! It is the only thing JWs have left. They will never get that under control, never!!

I'm doing fine. Summer heat is melting us here, almost in an official draught. But today is cooler and it MIGHT rain. Looks like it anyways, and "they" say so. Hope so...the lawn is going dormant. I have to water the flowers to keep them going.
I'm waiting for school to start (less than a month away), my brain is stating to die off. I'm getting a bit scared again but I'll be okay. Kids are fine, hubby is fine, the cats are sitting in front of the fans with their fur blowing....
And life goes on....

If they are King of the North and King of the South, you can be Queen of the South and I could be Queen of the North since I am just a few miles North of you...Hmm.. New title, "Mommie Dark, Queen of the South". Sounds Cool.
Now you need one of those medievil dresses like my daughters have and a crown made of gold and some pretty flowers and you are all set. Oldest daughter went to a medievil faire this past weekend and had a blast. Her male friend and her were one of the few dressed in the attire of the time period that weren't working there, so they got a lot of stares. She brought home some neat little things too.

Nothing exciting in my names chosen. Originally I was Antique on H2O. I love antiques and a dear friend of mine used to refer to me being one because I was a couple of years older than him. So I thought it would be "me". It ran it's course and I noticed a lot of comments from jerks that posted me, that couldn't find anything else to say to me, would refer to my "Antique" statis and start telling me to get into my rocking chair and shut up, stuff like that. For some reason, with that name "Antique," many thought I was a guy. The name got to be old hat but since I was there so long I kept the name. COMF started to call me "Auntie" and so I used that in my signatures. Some here still call me "Auntie," not that I mind, so maybe I should have chosen that when I arrived here.
But since I don't care a whole lot if I am "exposed" or not at this time, I chose "Lindy" because it is a nick for my real name Linda. I talked fairly free about my lifes experiences here and when I was on H2O, so if you really want to know who I am in "real" life you can figure it out easily if you know me. If the Elders and the like are really out here looking for ones to expose on these boards, they must be thinking I am not worth the effort and would not be an example to anyone.
