OK, Mr.S.L., I know there's a newer version just out, but I just wanted to tease you a bit...........
"Get your filthy paws off of me you dumb ape..."
GASP!
Englishman.
..... fanaticism masquerading beneath a cloak of reasoned logic.
Howdy,
It was a toss-up between the apes and the dinasaurs. We went and saw Jurasic Park III.
No plot - great monsters - and a beast a minute! What a way to waste a hot, humid, afternoon!
Apes next Sunday.

Waiting, don't you live in Columbia? I trained as an asst manager at the Columbiana Grande theater. I live in Greenville. We actually were saw both "Apes" and "Jurassic" today. I wasn't that impressed with "Jurassic" though. Like you said, it was a nice way to spend this humid day!

Yeah, we did the dinosaur route too. Unfortunately even the charms of the incredible Tea Leoni couldn't prevent Jurassic Park III from blowing chunks.
My JW wife doesn't want to see Planet of the Apes as she's heard it's "a bit brutal". No doubt I'll have to promise to take her to the next sappy chick-flick that comes along.

so... mr. slayer, why should i go see it (it's already on my list)?
being an amatuer movie critic, what's so great about it?
don't worry... you can't ruin it for me.
Hey TJ, I'm not going to give anything away for the other folks, but I will say this. Don't expect the same ending as the 1968 version. As much as I love the scene in the old one with the statue of liberty, this ending makes you think about the rest of the movie to figure it out. They could make a sequal just explaining the ending of this one. I wont say any more. I'm sure that the real critics out there will find fault with it, but I liked it.

Hey SL,
I live outside Columbia, near Camden area. Not familiar with that particular theater - but my husband is (he's local SC - I'm from Indpls).
Greenville's a beautiful area - grows so fast can't keep up with it.
My nephew (16) saw "Apes" and said it sucked. But he's 16, so latitude has to be given for that, don'tcha think?

Waiting,
My wife is from Marion IN, about an hour north of Indianapolis. I guess that your husband and I have good taste in women.

I saw the trailer for it in the cinema. Is it a whole new story or a remake, cos it didnt look familiar?
Besides, it would be cool to see expatbrit & Prisca in action.
