@Scully- I thought about that too, I would totally do that if it would do me some good. I agree with you that they would just take thier law into thier own hands and get rid of me on thier own!
@LV101-That would be so awesome! I feel I gave them way to much ammo to for them to keep me around. But I guess I could mess with them for a little while, I'll have to think about that. I would love to be a pain in the ass to my in laws as much as I can! That would be the only reason why I'd hang around!

@Wontleave-I did use that scripture, I said to them that I had no ill will towards anyone in the cong and that I felt that they were being duped by the Org and they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepard, and that the true believers that speak the truth would be persecuted people like me who couldn't stand being fed lies anymore. WOW, you should of seen the looks on thier faces! Of course no response to that either!!!
@Anonymous-You really got to that younger elder! The older elder sounded like he knew you made a break through! Good going! I hope that both of our outcomes are not to tramatic!
@Sizemilk-I live in a rural community, and the elders in our hall are up there in years. I kind of think that they are kind of sheltered from any news that would concern the Org. I am going to print off a news article and present it to the elder when he shows up to pick up my letter!
@Wannabefree- I thought about that as well, I am kind of stuck but I feel that I have to write that DA letter there is no other option. It feels good to tell them about things they had no knowledge of!

My in laws don't like me because I wouldn't keep secrets for them, they are the biggest hypocrites in our congo, plus other things that they did that I posted on other threads so they are really wanting to see me DF'd Or DA'd. I felt kind of sorry for the elders during thier visit, I did most of the talking and they really didn't have anyway to respond to the things I had brought up, except for when I said Jesus died for all of our sins the one elder said that Jesus died for MANY not for all! I was taken aback by that. Also the bible was not cracked open once during this discussion. I brought up the NGO and UN thing they never even heard of it. I told them about the sexual abuse cases that were settled with the Org they claimed that they didn't know anything about that either. I told them how I felt the Org was blood guilty and used the example about new light on organ transplants, and how if J. Rutherford and C.T. Russell would be resurected into the this time they would be DF'd for their beliefs. Also I brought up Beth Sarim and how J. Rutherford lived high on the hog during the depression off of the org. Of course they chimed in how I must be getting my info from apostates I told them I got info from newspaper articles such as the Guardian, and from our own publications. I also pointed out how easy it is to slap the apostate label on anything that goes against the org and make it null and void even if it is truthful. I said that it is a loaded word and is used as propaganda, and they AGREED! I also told them that I know the truth about the so called truth and I feel compelled to tell everyone about it witnesses and others! I brought up how the org had stocks in Phillip Morris and how that was public record, they were not aware of that. They acually listened to most of what I had to say, and not really disagreeing with what I had to say. And after all was said and done they said that they needed me to come to a descision to DA myself, or stay in the Org. An elder will be by on Thursday to pick up my letter. Part of me wants to stay in just to be a pain in the ass to my in laws, but I really can't be a part of this bullshit cult anymore.
the missoulia montana paper of 12/30/02 carried the following news report.. two jehovahs witness elders, dale a. erickson and darryl k willis pleaded no contest to charges of fraud, amounting to 6 million dollar theft from an aged lady, una anderson.. it is the biggest single theft case in the history of montana, according to the prosecutors.

this theft occured over a seven year period.
I remember when that had happened to that poor women, and I was told that there was more than the two elders that were involved. There was talk of some elders and other JW's that were a part of this in the Missoula Cong. even a rumor of a women in my hall 50 miles north of Missoula getting a house bought and paid for with those stolen funds. I don't know how much of it was true but it made me really sick!

@Ziddina- This is my very first post http://www2.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/207220/1/Malawi-Party-Card-Scans-and-comment, this was the reason for me to not go back. Of course I have done extensive research since then and know quite a bit about the org and it's origins. But coupled with the way my in laws and others in the cong have acted and the things that they cover up it just solidifies the fact they don't have gods holy spirit as they claim.

Ziddina... don't know whether your son is playing "both sides against the middle", but IF he is, then Sinis' words are apt - your son needs a wake-up call.
Eventually, when he's fully realized that the JWs are fair-weather - er, "fair-faith" friends, and he's ready to PERMANENTLY leave the Watchtower Society, THEN you can feel comfortable about helping him.
Otherwise, it does sound like he's taking advantage of your love for him...

Thank you for your responses, I feel I have more compassion shown to me here than in the whole 20 years I had been in the org. I hope that he will come to his senses, I would never turn him away if he needed to speak to me. What gets me is that I'm not DF'd and he and the rest of my crazy ass in laws (the ones who have persecuted me through out my time in the org.) have marked me. Ever since the convention they have taken it upon themselves to exclude my daughter and my husband from all the family get togethers. Not all of my husbands family are witnesses and the other non-witness family members were invited. I feel that they are using this to punish me and also using my son against me also. All and all I am glad that I am away from that poison bunch of so called Christians!
