  : thousands of jehovahs witnesses have gone to prison rather than violate the law of christ.. of course it was against the law of christ to accept alternative military service - and so off to gaol you had to go.

  that is, until they who would speak for god changed that "law.

  what heartless, incaring hypocrites who have stolen god's name for their own selfish self-glorification.. lph

  it sounds like tonight on dateline is a smashing success.

  let's be sure to email all out friends in the media thanking them - and let's not forget the valiant efforts of [email protected].

  stephen really went to bat for us - to the point that he is finding it hard to do much more writing about jws, at least for now - but a mighty show of sincere thanks to him could do no harm.

  there is an interesting article in the current tablet ( http://www.thetablet.co.uk) dealing with "disestablishment" of the church of england - the coe is currently headed by the monarch with the prime minister being involved in making such decisions as who will be the next archbishop of canterbury (the leader of the church.).

  the following quote from clifford longley's tablet article reminds me of the wts.. all this seems to have stopped dead under dr careys leadership.

  this is not good news for the church of england, or the country.

  Were Gillies/WTS UNLetters honest - JW Perceptions

  it bears on the question - just what perception has the various wts letters - i.e., gillies's and the recent letters from hq, actually created.

  is it an accurate one?.

  he kindly sent me a copy of a letter he received from the wts office in pennsylvania and gave me permission to post it.

  UN Library - no change in 1991 CONFIRMED

  i received the following two emails from dana loytved who is senior reference librarian at the un library in nyc.. in view of her first reply i asked her what procedure the wts used to access the library before 1991. her second reply is a bit cryptic but she states with confidence that there were no changes in procedure.

  i don't want to pester these kind folks any more.. .

  the procedure for a library pass is the following: the interested party needs to fill out an application form and supply a letter of recommendation in support of the research.
