Those responses are shocking.

"If the allegations are proven to be true THEN the Elders go to the police" ???!!

To the JW mind, that sounds like correct logic.

Don't they ever stop to ask themselves how an ELDER could possibly OBTAIN proof that abuse happened?

If they thought about it for just one second they would realize there is NO WAY they could have proof unless the perpetrator confessed. They are not doctors with rape kits or trained psychologists. They have no way to know if the allegations are true or not, outside of a confession.

So what they really mean is "If the perpetrator confesses, THEN the Elders go to the police" <--I don't think that sounds like correct logic even to a JW! But they don't let their mind go there...

i immediately researched their literature and found that they are in a cult originated out of south korea (what's with koreans and cults lol??).

Now I've seen everything.

Unbelievable.

When I was a teenager, if a group of us had signed up for ballroom dance lessons and then got together to dance it would have been shut down faster than you can say "Footloose."

Yet here they promote it like it's a normal fun thing JWS do. In reality those fun-starved kids have hit the jackpot being part of this charade. Probably the most fun they've had in years. Poor things.

I have never seen anything like this.

the promotion of the various tourist attractions, celebrities, corporations, and sports in Atlanta. I mean if I didn't know better I would think the JWs LIKE the world now.

all the direction to OBEY explicitly stated at least 5 times over 10 minutes. (6 times, if you count the phrase 'follow direction')

(SO creepy, every time they say it. Especially the last time.)

JWs with guitars, painting, dancing, singing in choirs, playing jazz and blues..practicing long hours?? WHAT?? In my day, we couldn't even have a tallent show!

3:15 "The Convention and Visitiation Bureau is interentested in the economic impact felt by the city of Atlanta" ...oh so THAT is why they are promoting tourist attractions! The aquarium, the prison, CNN

3:40 a 'partnership' with Atlanta

4:30 "...ultimately, to Jehovah's success" they made deals with every major hotel in Atlanta. Good job, Jehovah!

I think the video is part of their deal with Atlanta. It's promoting Atlanta first, ordering around the minions second.

What is the key to free yourself from the Organization?

they key to free yourself from the organization is having mental clarity of what is happening in relation to the watchtower, inside and out.

their basic concept is that they are god's sole organization on earth.

there really is no basis for anyone to make that statement.

Am I part of the Cure or am I part of the disease

so this is the ultimate dilemma.

my wife and i are on the same page.

do we fade, in which all our friends, and i stress friends call us and feel sick and hurt and hurt and we feel guilty; or do we da so we tell the wt what we see as wrong as what we see that lead us to believe its a false religion; or do we df and let me or my wife let them catch us at some wrong doing and stop going to meetigs..... .

If you df or da you are using their process and their words that mean that you are a bad person and God has cut you off.

Are you a bad person? Has God cut you off? If not, why would you send them a letter saying you are?? (that is what any DA letter is to JWs, no matter what the letter actually says)

Just leave and become a non-member, period. Not DA or DF. Moving makes this easier.

Only JWs play play by JW rules. Only JWs can be "DF" or "DA." People who are not JWs can't DF or DA because they are not JWs. Become a person who is not a JW. You are free to do so and they have no right to punish non-members. Don't play their games.

You and your wife will find cool people to hang out with who share your interests who are also not JWs. These people she cares so much about what they think are NOT her friends and will forget her quickly.

NO! The stage had been set. They have been setting the stage fo this for quite sometime by sending out those letters telling everyone to obey even if it doesn't make sense and by constantly reminding the congregations that to be anything but united is being disobedient and may bring a great reproach upon Jehovah.

I agree with twice shy.

THIS is the order everyone is supposed to "obey even if it doesn't make sense."

And JWs are doing just that.

(Frankly, this is an easy one to not think about and blindly obey. It's not letting your child die or anything, and we all know they can do that. JWs are probably relieved to just have to fork over thousands of dollars in cash..)
