  ... i'm usually one who responds to topics that interest me.

  yesterday, i wanted to respond to certain posts, but needed to step back and wait until things became more clear to me.

  i didn't use an attention grabbing subject line for this post [e.g., something referring to raymond franz, bill bowen, silentlambs] since my purpose was basically to express my feelings, whether or not anyone wanted to read them or respond to them.. i watched with bewilderment the recent accusations flung against raymond franz and the comments made by some supporting the accusations both here and on the yahoogroups email list.

  .....my 2 cents ......

  I think Bill is a good person. I think Silentlambs is a good cause. Silentlambs goals are important and I would hope they would be realized.

  So, I will continue to support this group.

  If the goals of the movement change to goals that I dont support, or if Bill Bowen starts breaking the law or something like that, I would, of course withdraw my support.

  His personal feelings about Ray Franz, his personal religious views are irrelevant to me.

  I support Silentlambs because SO MANY people have been given a voice and the pressure is being put on the Org, and lawsuits are coming out everyday, and stories are in the press now, and the policies of the WT will be forced to change if these things continue.

  I think Bill has done a great job so far. I support this effort.

  i have seen (edited to add the word "posted" here, for clarification purposes) on this board that bill bowen is still a jw at heart, and i have seen posts and transcipts of his where he refers to the "christian" way of handling matters.

  i have it on good authority that bill is not concerned with the bible, and that he is as far from being a jw as could be (religiously speaking).

  bill has refused to answer my inquiries as well as others' when asked about his position on religious/jw matters that have a bearing on his silentlambs credibility based upon direct statements made by him.

  Why is Bill Bowen Attacking Us?

  yes, why is he attacking ray franz, hillary_step and from what i've heard on this board also reinhard lengtat?.

  why does he make accusatory statements and then when called on for proof calls us lazy for not finding our own proof?.

  if anyone here understands this bizarre behavior please enlighten me.

  This is how I see it:

  #1 Some people say Bill is behaving badly because of The Letter and throwing lambs and what not.

  #2some OTHER people say, Hey! Bill is a good guy! He has done so much! Why are you attacking him??

  #3 the people from #1say, Hey! Its a free country and we are free to have opinions! Stop telling us what we cant say!! What, are you in the Bill Bowen Cult or something??

  Then,

  #4 Bill says Ray Franz refuses to speak in support of the victims and sees nothing wrong with WT child abuse policy as it is.

  #5 People from #1say, Oh MY GOD!!! Ray is a good guy! He has done so much! Why are you attacking him???

  Who Will Jesus Choose: Civilised or Uncivilised?

  the question is, if jesus (pbuh) was to come back to earth, which i beleive he will (i don't know how), who would he rather live with, the civilised christians of europe/america or the un-civilised taliban?.

  before you make you decision, let me paint the broader picture.

  in the civilised west, you have civilised (liberated/free) women, who make hell of alot good porn movies, who are very good for advertisement business, they are willing to reveal their full naked bodies, to attract more custmers.

  Would You Now Feel Uncomfortable Taking Blood?

  now that you know about the truth of the blood doctrine, would you feel, even a little bit uncomfortable agreeing to take a blood transfusion?

  btw, my mother asked me if i would still honor her wishes for refusal of blood.

  i told her that even though my view has changed, i would respect her decision, even if i felt that it was wrong.

  I can't believe I didn't know this! Anyone have a source for this?

  And does this mean ANY artifical insemination? Even if it were with your own husband's sperm?

  i have smoked cigarettes since i was 12 years old, a pack a day for 16 years.

  i have not had a cigarette since friday night and it is monday!

  i am craving a smoke but i am not going to have one because i don"t smoke anymore!

  Update from me too!!!!

  My husband and I also still have not smoked!!!

  we are NON-SMOKERS! We don't smoke! We don't have to buy cigs! We are not setting a horrible example for our kids! We are so darn proud of ourselves! Whoo hooo!

  Congrats to 4Christ and to all you ex-smokers out there!!!

  He is incapable of reaching his goal. The WBTS will NEVER give him the time of day. If SL is to be effective, it will be in spite of the Watchtower society.

  Why does the WBTS have to give him the time of day in order for him to reach is goal?? I have no doubt that the Org will never give him the time of day, I have no doubt Bill KNOWS they will never give him the time of day, and I am pretty darn sure Bill will reach his goal! J
