The witnesses got away with covering up another molestation case
by recovering inhttp://www.webpronews.com/jehovahs-witnesses-get-only-partial-dismissal-in-child-molesting-case-2015-04.
i find it extremely interesting the comment of one of the posters who is studying with the witnesses.. frank j karasienski 3 days ago .
individuals are flawed..... looking at this article it really makes it look like an organization is hiding the situation.

OTWO: you are so right about the dubs putting down the Catholic church for the very same sins. What a crying shame they cannot see it in their own group. My mother always points out the Catholic church and how awful and hypocritical they are whenever defending the dubs about this issue. Sadly, my mom doesn't really know the doctrines she is told to believe in. I think is the case with much of my dub family. They just blindly follow and live in fear of the Big A. -

Worst Memorial Talk Ever!
by The Searcher ini honestly have never heard such claptrap being delivered in a memorial talk.. the speaker repeatedly put down the way other religions administered the bread & wine, and claimed that witnesses do it exactly as the bible describes.
oh yeah????.
he forgot to mention - when reading aloud 1 corinthians 11:25 - that after passing the bread, a full meal was to be shared, before the wine was passed around!

The speaker I heard talked about the 144,000 and used Revelation 14 I think. He talked about great crowd but not sure he used rev ch 10.
Of course they had the contribution box out next to the table filled w literature . For the Worldwide Work AKA Child abuse lawsuits

The talk I heard was all about paradise. In the beginning we were reminded that Christ made paradise possible but the rest of the time was all about paradise. Who will be in paradise and who will be in heaven.
Used sandy Hook incident to remind ppl how scary the world is.so scary just sending your little ones to school. Also used German airplane crash as a scare tactic.
the man who said the prayer before the bread showed more appreciation on his prayer than the speaker did in 45 mins.
the man who prayed before the wine said a long ass prayer. It seemed so rehearsed. He seemed to be reading his prayer. Lol

I'm probably going tonight. My father is dying it may be one last good deed for him. Also, it may cheer up the rest of my family during this time. I can't remember the last time I attended. Must be over ten years now. -

Well we all know their doctrines can change over night. So the April 2015 magazine doesn't mean that this particular change is impossible. They are going mainstream. No doubt about that! They are seriously rebranding themselves. An ease in the shunning could get some people back. I doubt anybody in here. Definitely not me.
So though those the assholes AKA, FDS are still spewing out their nonsense and hate about shunning people it doesn't mean there isn't a battle going on behind closed doors about this sick unchristian practice.
So I would not be surprised and I do think eventually it has to happen. But I will believe it when I see it.

Mrtheocratic! Ha Ha! bless your mother! That is too funny.
I think that may be the case with many dubs but many are also still buying the WT crap. I know of a family from my old congregation who lost their father to cancer recently. He was at least 80. But the wife took it so so hard from what I hear. She and her hubby were not supposed to grow old in "this system".
Now my sister is having an extremely hard time dealing with the fact that we will lose our father to cancer shortly. All she talks about is paradise and how it is so close . And now she is researching alternative treatments to help save our father. I feel really bad for her. She must be struggling with doubts. I haven't made it any easier on her either. Recently we got into a heated discussion about the org and how the FDS are full of crap. That is basically what I told her. Deep down I really think she wonders if what I know could be true. During another discussion a few months back she actually told me not to call Bethel headquarters. And that If I want to have any questions answered I can call their elders. I guess she wants the comfort of her little world around her with her faith in the "new system" still in tact. But now my dad dying is really rocking her boat. She said it herself that she never thought she'd have to face losing a parent.
As annoyed and frustrated as I've been in the past when I'd hear her say, "the end is so close" & "it's just around the corner" I cannot help but really feel for her now.
What a sad and wasteful way to spend your life.
