I guess the WBTS needs to get a psychologist on their staff to keep them from publishing stupid rules.

folks,.
don't they know how dumb their advice turns out to be?
you tell a teenager not to go to the internet, and that is the first thing they will do.

some friends of mine are having a very difficult time.
there names are glen & judy.
judy has cancer, their teenage daughter commited suicide 6 months ago, and glen (a fellow record collector), got busted by the fbi for having "bootleg" recordings (unreleased concert recordings, etc), and was fined $1000 per recording.. they could really use prayer.. thanks, .
Sorry to hear about all the trouble your friends are going through.
I will keep them in my prayers
there have been so many of these threads..i was just wondering if you were still falling for it
Is that a nightgown?
this is my jedi post!!!!!!
didn't think i'd ever make it, thought for sure simon would boot me out way before this.........
Congrats Butalbee!
"pack your bags, mom's taking us on a guilt trip"-my favorite youngest brother.
how many of you out there get a regular guilt trip from your parents or anyone for that matter?
i am beginning to think my mom is reigning queen!.
Mpatrick,
I see it time and time again.
JW's live in there own fantasy world..where they see things that dont exist and dont see things that are right in front of them.
Your mom's friend just wants to believe that you arent happy...so that she can comfort herself in knowing that you long to come back to Jah's org.
As I've said before...one of the best ways to get rid of an unwanted JW is to speak in low growls and roll your eyes back into your head.
Make sure to practice in front of a mirror first.

this is so funny.
i giggled all the way home.
mom had asked me to buy her some pretty stationery at the hallmark store.
My wife and daughters went to a meeting with my mom in the town where I grew up. I guess because I was an inactive JW they felt the need to shunn my wife and girls as well. I guess if there was ever a chance to recruit my family, it was then...I guess they screwed that up ;)
I think that is worthy of negative service hours.
Peace,

it's a shame , but its probably true, i bet there are more ex-witnesses (those who are dis'ed or dont go anymore)who still believe its the truth than those who don't.. what do you think?
I believed as the witnesses did for about 6 or 7 years after I decided to leave; had a terrible time with guilt.
But, there was no way on earth that I was going to spend an eternity with a 'great crowd' of Big Brother eyeballin', striped tie wearin', gossipin', pompus ass, self righteous, empty headed, brainwashed, no account, no oral sex given', dim bulb, sniffling, sneezin', coughin', stuffy head, sneaky, hypocritical, zombie, drone people.

i was at the hospital all day with my best friend, mattie.
she had a biopsy on her colon this morning.
they are looking for cancer, seeing they can't seem to find anything else causing her problem.
I will be praying for Mattie...
God bless her

hey, the plans for the potluck this friday are almost complete.. due to the response we've been getting, we're going to hold it in a private home near downtown.
the more, the merrier!.
if you have not already received an email with directions, then we just don't have your email address.
Yes a sing along would be great...I think we should sing the kingdom songs using different voices ...like Neil Diamond...Axel Rose...Ethel Merman.
See y'all there ;)

i am trying to prove a point to a jw, and i was wondering if anyone has a specific passage from any of the publications where they specifically reference faithful men of old such as abraham, isaac, and jacob as having an earthly hope, vs. a heavenly one?.
thanks in advance!
Whether or not Abraham had an earthly hope shouldnt matter because Luke 16 talks about him being in heaven ;)
