After Kingdom Hall bomb blast = Twisted Witness logic! Saved by Jah!

in sydney in the late 80's a bomb blew up the kingdom hall killing one man and injuring many.

the hall was badly destroyed.

later stories spread about how jehovah "saved" the congregation.. 1. the brother who died was large and sat in front saving many lives by taking the full impact.

My comments maybe a few years late - but the subject came up on TV tonight ( 7th July 2013 ) - on Channel 7 Current Affair show.

Len Warrick was supposedly behind the bombing according to the TV show and was believed to be responsible for the Casula Kingdom Hall bombing and the Family Court bombing and his ex-wife's solicitor being almost car bombed. This is all because he wanted his 6 year old child back from the JWS. The child was being hidden by the witnesses at the time and attending the Casula congregation for some 3 years.

Len also bombed the house of the family court judge, killing his wife, because as I understand the judge sided with Len's JW wife and child and belittled him in court.

Though Len has killed at least 3, maybe more, people - I actually sympathise with his situation - as I was raised a witness for some 30 years and a ministerial servant at the time of the bombing and understand what goes on in a J.W's head. But I also know what goes on in an outsider's head. Soon after I was disfellowshipped in jan 1989 over questioning the 607-1914 chronology My wife and I started attending anaother church, introduced to us by a new friend. My wife and then 6 year old daughter were kept in hiding by the Church of Maitraya in 1990. In my case a solicitor from the same Maitreya Church cult acting for my wife, also worked in the family court, and they too kept my wife in hiding with our daughter for just on 6 months while legal things were being put in place. the details of my case were similar to Lens other than the bombings and Police involvement.

In the case of Lenoard Warrick, he has never been charged and bought to justice, because the police can't prove he did it. He stands by his right to remain silent.

Irronically at the time of the bombing - the rumor circulating my congregation in Melbourne was, to the effect "the man who died in the bombing was a disfellowshipped witness and hence not approved by Jehovah". Not knowing the persons involved, I knew no different.

If that were true, the Df individual should have been sitting at the back of the hall, not in the front row seat.

As I was taught - all D.F members are supposed to sit at the back of the hall and come in quietly after the service has started and leave before the final prayer. ( a I recall this is based on the 1981 WT on Disfellowshipping proceedures. ) So it was the "ruling" when I was in the organization.

People at my work - who were also associated Police Members, hated the JWs and of course me for being one. They were stating in conversation " the Casula bombing was because Jehovah failed to protect his congregation and it was proof the J.W's did not have the truth". Obviously it was hard to argue against.

Just so there is no misunderstanding - the reason I side with Len Warrick is I know how hard it hurts a family man when you have your wife and child ripped off you by a cult. Going to such drastic measures, just shows how pissed off he is and that people should think twice before doing it to others. Cults like the JWs are devisive and underhanded. They lie and deceive, seeing everything against them as devil's work. While we have "freedom of religion" in Australia, such crimes will continue as some people take these religions quite seriously.

Yes innocent people have died - but at least who ever did it has made their point.

It also shows even Jehovah can't bring him to justice and has taken almost 30 years to get this far - which illustrates how slow he is respecting his promise. The 6 year old he was fighting for, now has grown up and living a dysfunctional life of her own hating what her father did !

It also illustrates to authorities, whom ever they are, the effect their descisions have on other people lives.

Judges within the family court often have very little concept of what demons they unleash when they side against a man and his family. Such violent cases liker this one are often seen in the news, yet few take notice and listen.

Once Len got back his daughter, the bombings stopped just like that. Problem "fixed" !

Even if Len ends up in jail - which I doubt will happen for a while - at least he has made his point. It shows just how slack Jehovah is in interveaning and protection.

Entire WT Library From Beginning

i had an idea to which i don't even know if it would be feasible but i'd like to throw it out regardless.

i figured this is the best place to post since this is the forum that gets the most traffic.

however, this question is tech related.

On this Watchtower Collection. The US Book Archives has some early WT volumes and the photodrama in PDF form for free download - but not complete runs of publications. I was one of Australia's top WT collectors during the 1980s and had almost everything ever printed when I was in Melbourne ( Australia )as a Witness. In reality I had many by 70% original in at least 1 or more editions and another 20% in Xerox form and the rest was missing entirely. I knew of alot of items but could not find acaopy to even Xereox let alon have an original. Yet my own private watchtower collection rivelled Bethel's in Sydney.

The items you will find hard to get are things like Morton Edgars Pyramid books and early publications of C.T.Russell's which were printed by isolated witnesses some were women who printed only a few copies; plus in J.F. Rutherford's day - example - "Seola" later known as "Angels & Women" (1924 ) plus a host of breakaway (Evil Slave Class) material from the days of E.C.Hennings group from 1909 and the Berean break away in 1919 and also the rare items from WW2 such as End of Nazism" ( printed for Germany ) and "Freedom or Romanism" ( only printed in Australa and not any where else in the world ).

During the 1980s we had a collectors manual of JW Literature which was printed by Duane Magnani ( from Witness Incorported ) and it was not complete even them. Items were rated out of 1-10 for rarity - 10 being the most rare. Many Watchtower books fell into the 8-10 range.

Another trap you need to know is the eeditions many many cangeds were in the editions single word changes which alterd the context. so just because you have a set of the seven "Studies in the Scriptures" does not mean you have the true information at hand as these books alone went through numeroua text alterations to suit doctrainal changes at the time. Volume 7 the finished mystery had numerous editions and some had missing pages ripped out during the banning of the book. These are worth a lot of money to collectors even as incomplete books. Even the good old small dark blue blue "Truth" Book published in 1968 had another edition printed after 1975 which had all the references to 1975 removed. You would not know unless you had the 2 editions side by side. Year books were printed in various colurs in different countires as were the bibles. Ever seen a Yellow NWT Bible - I have.

I had at one time well over 100 volumes of the "Studies in the Scriptures" and the "Millenial Dawn" series in my private collection, which is why I am mentioning this to you all as thes had numerous text changes. I have noted the same changes in some reprints of the Watchtower Magazine.

Kingdom Ministries are another drama, as they differ from country to county. For example - nothing was directly implied about 1975 in the Australian K.M Version, but it definitely was in the USA Version.

The Australian "Informant" was also diferent to the USA version, as was Consolation ( small booklet size in Australia and large size in the USA ).

Golden Ages as far as I know are very hard to find in any condition, let alone in complete runs. Items like Assembly Reports, Kingdom News Tracts and Songbooks, plus Internal Bethel items Elders Letters, Publiuc Talk scripts, Drama Scripts, etc, are very, very rare and many mention things not covered in the mainstream Watchtower publications. Much of that internal stuff is destroyed or returnd to Bethel when finished with so it can be redistributed. I've seen and owned items many witnesses refuse to believe existed - as I had original copies in my own collection.

At the end of the day - you have to ask yourself - What do you want it all for ? - to prove the JWs don't have the truth !

You can do that just with a Bible and no publications.

Project to produce blood for transfusion from stem cells

four scottish universities are working on a "ground-breaking" project to manufacture blood for transfusions.. the universities are working with the scottish blood transfusion service to generate red blood cells on a large scale for scotland.. scientists have said that the industrial generation of blood from stem cells would end current supply problems.. it would also ensure compatibility between donor and recipient.. the university of glasgow, along with heriot-watt, edinburgh and dundee universities are working on the project, which has just been given 2.5m from the scottish funding council.. joanne mountford, of the scottish national blood transfusion service and the university of glasgow, said: "this is not artificial blood.

these are red blood cells - the same as those found in your body but made in a laboratory instead.. 'large scale' production.

If the WT Society is true to its past doctrine - then stem cell blood would be also unscriptural.

I base this on the fact the WT Society has set out policy in times past for Christians to not evn use their own blood if it was stored for a later situation, and even blood components have been ruled out such as in vaccines, etc. Stem cell blood manufacture would be still genetically compatable to the body and in so doing have to be recognized by ones body as actual blood in order for rejection to not take place.

But I'm sure Jehovah will reveal New Light on the matter and stem cell blood may be left up to one's conscience.

Though off the topic a bit - some born again Christian Revival groups are so fanatical about the alchohol issue that at their memorial, they use red cordial instead of red wine to symbolise Christ's blood.

Mixed marriages - JW/non-JW - what makes you stay?

I'm not in the immediate situation but do understand since I have similar issues myself.

For the JW they will stay because of their obligation to the watchtower society and Jehovah and of course the family itself. If its the man who is the JW he may loose his prominanace in the congregation as well.

For the non-Jw partner, they don't have the support of the WTS unless they decide to join - but if you analyse your situation carefully it may be due to your own co-dependancy, or fear of not finding someone better, or simply apathy - it's all too hard to leave.

The situation would be no different if one partner was addicted to alchohol, or had a terminal condition, or belonged to any other fanatical religous cult.

Being in a dysfunctional relationship soley for the kids is tanatmount to martomdom and suffering of personal abuse of one's self.

If your not happy, I can't see that the rest of the family would be happy, as feelings can be contagious.

Elders & Bankruptcy

i found an interesting post about an elder who has a warrant for his arrest & filed for bankruptcy & owes over 30 creditors money.. what is the society's stand on that matter?.

Well for whats it worth - any elder who went bankrupt would at the very least have a cloud over his head and until proven otherwise ( guilty until proven innocent rule ) might have to stand down.

But let's be reasonable here - many businesses in Australia have recently gone under because of massive natural disaters wiping out whole towns and shopping centres. If one was to loose it all in such an event and still have no way of paying out a loan to the bank, nor claim their insurance cover - then the business owner would have no option but to file for bankruptcy.

You can't blame God or Satan for such disaster - its a sign of the times.

So to be fair to the elder in such a situation - he should not loose his position. It's a very different matter though If illegal activity was going on.

I went bankrupt about 6 years ago, after about 12 months of running a retail store. The owner was a member of the Christian Buisnessman's Association. He had been fiddling the books and the Buisness Activity Statemnets for the tax office, paying staff cash in hand, etc. I paid a quarter of a million for the buisness out of my own money - as I could not get a loan because of previous unemployment. I inherited the money from my parents who died.

In so doing, I also had a non-witness manager whom I kept on, which knew the business history well, and latter found him stealing from the business unbeknowns to me at the time. Many of the problems of the buisness were not obvious for many month after purchasing it and by that time it was too late to rectify. Also many of the original owners customer base were his church members which went with him after he sold me the business.

I had the money to avoid bankruptcy and pay out my creditors but it was tied up in superannuation I could not touch for at least 15 years - so I was forced into a corner, despite trying to trade out of debt. In my case, I got screwed and cannot do anything legally to get compensation. If I was an Elder in such a situation I would not remove him, yet if the previous owner was an Elder he should be disfellowshipped.

That's my 2 cents worth. To the average JW I would be bankrupt because I left Jehovah and he removed his holy spirit out of my life and so I deserve what I get.

To the original owner - Jesus helped him sell the business and as I was to him a non-christian, I would be of satan's seed and worth ripping off.

Either way - your dammed if you do, and dammed if you dont !
