by DarioKehl inso, if the current gb is this "faithful and discreet slave" and they place greater emphasis on 1919 now, are they saying that only a few anointed christians were selected in the 1st century, followed by nearly 2000 years of no selections and starting around 1914-1919, the selection of the rest of the 144,000 resumed?.
if so, this is an easy explanation for the increase in numbers of partakers since 2008. have they gone right out and said this officially or have they only alluded to it up to now?.
also, the original understanding was this "shut door" policy of 1935. i never understood how they arrived at that year.

by pickledparsnip inhi all.. as requested by many membeers of the exjw reddit community a jw wiki was created, in an effort to centralise easy-to-read info on everything from doctrines, to past lawsuits, to literature.
we aim to stay as npov as possible, hoping to not look outright 'apostate' (i.e.
bitter exjws flaming) but rather a professional collection of information.. we would appreciate any contribution, at the moment there are very few of us doing all the work when we have free time.

Don't forget William Tyndale, Peter Waldo, John Wycliffe, etc. So many great ones that stood up to the religious powers that oppress(ed) the people.

are their changes new light according to proverbs, or refinement according to daniel and malachi?

I'd love to hear more re: what possible reason there would be to block an audiobook of Ray's legacy from a brother that put in hundreds and hundreds of hours of effort to make these two audiobiooks, FREE OF CHARGE.
He offered them on a silver platter to GIVE away to the copyright holder. (which I assume is Cynthia although I do not profess to know with any certainty)

Just Sharing: I Visited Chuck Taze Russells Gravesite
by daringhart13 injust nothing more than a 'share'..... i was in pittsburgh on business and took a day off and paid a visit to russells grave.. i haven't stopped laughing since.
i'm worried i'm going to break ribs.. had i seen this as a young kid/adult.....i surely would have thought "wtf???".
folks...if you ever needed confirmation this whole thing is a laughable cult......make your way to pittsburgh and see chuck's resting spot.......its worth it just get pictures with his pyramid.. lol.

Very weird site. It would be interesting to know if the WT corp still owns this plot for sure. I have (rumors) that Bible Student brothers maintain the site and keep it up.
