The Borg "our mother"? Good Grief!

i have heard it all now, or at least up to now, the borg never ceases to surprise me.

so when jesus was talking to his deciple from the cross (opps stake), "this is your mother" or something like that, was he talking about the borg?

JW Apologists Keep Commenting

i just posted a new article entitled "jw apologists keep commenting".

there seems to be an influx of asleep jws that are trying to fight back against what they perceive to be threats to their faith by trying to refute our websites and forums.. several are currently making the rounds voting down webpage comments and youtube videos, as well as the dissident jw blogosphere.. here's a screengrab from the article:.

@ CoC - Thanks for your positivity bro. You have so much of that and it really helps a lot of us around here out.

@ ÁrbolesdeArabia - If you want to put some comments on their YouTube channels I think that would be great. I have gone to some of their channels and said something like,

"Thank you for commenting on my channel, JWStruggle. you have a lot of courage to do this, in direct violation of WT rules. Please visit again, I have a new video out just for you!"

As for software, I use all the Adobe master Suite products. Permiere Pro and After Effects are amazing. I recommend people try out the consumer-level versions first, like "Photoshop Elements" and "Premiere Elements" they are good too.

@ Punkofnice - Yes mate they love to copy and paste long rambles on my blog site sometimes. I've had friends say you should ban them they are trolls! And my feeling is, let 'em blow off steam and think they are doing something good. I even told one he was welcome to count his time on there if he wanted to!

@ OnTheWayOut - I'm gonna have to try that at the movies next time lol! I've already dropped 50 bucks just to be there (with my family) and then have commercials played at me for 20 minutes before it starts, so why not?? ;-)

Over 4 months, still no response to this letter to the elders!

hi everyone, its been over 4 months and i have not heard a response from the elders.

i called one of them a few weeks back.

he said they sent it to bethel and haven't heard back yet.

Gregg you are in the clear that is my opinion my friend. They have chewed on your letter for FOUR months and you have even called Elder Ron Dare saying, "What's going on?"

You boldly told him that it was wrong to DF people for smoking due to health reasons when he himself is so morbidly obese. Which is worse? Smoking one cig. or having an extra 100 pounds alone behind that huge belt?

Due to your unique situation and the fact that you were baptized prior to 1985 when question #2 was changed I think they are going to leave you alone. Not bc they care about you, but bc it is the safest way for them to protect their ASSets.

Either way, you are a strong, intelligent guy and have saved me from the frying pan many times, and I for one know what it is like to have "a friend that sticks closer than a brother".

I LOVE YOU MAN!

i was wondering if anyone lives around sf, as well as if anyone is around my age?

it's been a terrible economy these last few years.

i had a very successful loan brokerage and watched that crash and burn in 2011. i went back to my previous firm in the computer industry that was struggling after i left.

it seemed like a good match.

guys, i have faded about a 1 month ago...now 1 elder, who i consider a friend as a person and like a father is texting me.... i don't hate the guy, i consider him my friend even though i don't believe what he believes...he's telling me he hasnt seen me at the meetings and he's worried...he asked me if i could go in service with him this weekend...i have not responded, i dont know what to say since i don't want to go through no judicial committee or something like that...nobody there knows i know ttabtt...any suggestions on how i should respond?.

Mind Reading and Reinstatement - Part 1

i've published a new article on my blog about the agony that people go through in seeking reinstatement.

part one includes a personal experience of one that crawled throught this field of glass in order to be able to regain a relationship with a close friend that is asleep in the jw movement.. part two will have a transcript (and accompanying audio on my youtube channel) from a sister that recorded her entire reinstatement hearing, including what the elders said about her after she was dismissed from the room while they deliberated.. here's a peek at the article on jwstruggle:.

.. .. .. there are likely a number of you on jwnet that have "been there and back again" and gone through it.. what was the hardest thing about getting reinstated?.

Why can't we easily obtain these vitally-important books? Nobody really seems to know...
