not necessarily the dictionary definition of the word apostate, which simply means a person who leaves their religion, for by that definition everyone who leaves any religion to become a jw is an apostate.

no, it is jw conception of the apostate, both as an individual and as a group that is imaginary.. .

i just got my first book ... to start with.

the next one will be ray franz, crisis of conscience.. so if there any believers or semi-believers that would like to chat about it i would appreciate your comments.. also it may help any visitors to this site, who may be questioning things.. .

I have no ill will towards Mr. King and respect his beliefs, even though they are so similar to the WT Org that they are almost indistinguishable...

That alone is enough reason to pass on his book IMO.

Read CoC...if you can actually get a hold of a copy of it that is.

well i spent a few weeks putting this one together it took sooooo much longer than i thought it would, but as you know, a few of us many of us on jwnet spend way too much time fighting the "watchtower power" hehe.

here's a couple paragraphs:.

so i had been thinking about how hard it can be to tell the difference between a high quality product, the "genuine article", and a knockoff or an inferior product recently.

Yes. I think "conscious class" was coined first, back in the 80s perhaps. Then later, "awakening class" or awakened Witnesses or "Strugglers" as we are sometimes called on JWStruggle lol.

Phizzy you are right we do not need to use the prejorative label the WT has smacked on people tht leave.

Being part of the " Dissident Movement" against the Watchtowetr means we can believe differently (Ie, aitheist, christian, agnostic, et al) but be united in our efforts to help as many as possible learn TTATT.
